Surprisingly Bad - Very Overrated!

I am surprised to see good reviews for Cross Keys Diner. The day I was there the food was horrible, over cooked and flavorless. 5 out 6 items on the Special Menu were not available, so settled for a hamburger. I received a flavorless burger that would not even stay together and would only... read more

Not overly excited. Not a bad place, just fell below my expectations. I have been in for breakfast three times and lunch twice inthe last three years but I seem to leave with the same feelings regarding the restaurant.

If you like great food with excellent service, try the Cross Keys. If I could sum up my visit with one word, it would be Delicious.

We were looking for a place to have a late lunch and stopped at the Cross Keys Diner. When we walked in the diner at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon the diner was full, but we did not have to wait to be seated. We both had breakfast. Their omelet special was delicious, as was the French toast. They advertise... More

My wife and I had breakfast at Cross Keys Diner on Sunday. We had very simple breakfasts - I had two eggs over easy, toast, and home fries. My wife had a spinach and swiss omelette with toast and home fries. They were very busy, so we sat at the counter. It took a while for our food to come,... More

This little "diner" was a lucky find. We were there midweek about 10:30 a.m. and it was crowded. Creamed Chip Beef and home fries were good as well as the French toast; coffee, tea = $16. The service was ok but I agree with other reviews - the bill was put down on the table mid-meal and the waitress was... More

What a find. Three of us went for a late breakfast/early lunch. Two of us had breakfast and the other lunch. Our omelets were absolutely delicious. Lunch was chicken salad wrap. She said it was delicious also. Small place so be prepared to wait. Can't imagine how crowded it must be on the weekend.

Situated along Rt 313 just before the big intersection with Rt 611, the Cross Keys Diner is not much to look at from the road. but the food is good and freshly prepared. Sit at the counter or at one of the 10 or so tables. Ample free parking too. BYOB.

Very average, yet somehow overpriced, diner food. Even though Doylestown is lacking diners, it hardly seems like a reason to wait to get into this one. Service is decent, but certainly not friendly. They do have some eclectic seasonal offerings, but the standard breakfast and lunch offerings are underwhelming, uninspired and average. The wait on a weekend is certainly a... More

Once in a while you get a great that makes really good food and this one is it. There was quite a wait on a Saturday but definitely worth it. It's very busy, noisy and nothing fancy. I am giving the very good for the food and not the atmosphere. The chipped beef was the best I've had (besides my... More
