Good diner food

We stopped in for lunch today. We've been here before and find the hometown atmosphere to be the biggest appeal. My cheeseburger was okay but didn't have much flavor. My husband's reuben was good but it fell apart so that he had to use a knife and fork. The acoustics are terrible so it was... read more

A terrific breakfast this morning. Great service, rye toasted that was buttered just right and a Paul bunyon omelet that was superb. Glad to have found this diner.

This is a little hometown diner where you can get an amazing breakfast. They use really fresh ingredients and the food is delicious. They always have specials but they run out if you don't get there early. Their cornmeal pancakes are my favorite but they are not always available. If you want a delicious, hearty breakfast in a casual environment,... More

Large portions and tasty, well priced dishes continue to encourage folks to wait on lines which spill out the front door onto the porch on the weekends, attesting to the popularity of this Doylestown institution. Located in an older home on the outskirts of town, Cross Keys embraces a vintage charm, with Formica tabletops, vinyl covered stools and simple decor... More

I am surprised to see good reviews for Cross Keys Diner. The day I was there the food was horrible, over cooked and flavorless. 5 out 6 items on the Special Menu were not available, so settled for a hamburger. I received a flavorless burger that would not even stay together and would only crumble apart. I had to eat... More

Not overly excited. Not a bad place, just fell below my expectations. I have been in for breakfast three times and lunch twice inthe last three years but I seem to leave with the same feelings regarding the restaurant.

We were looking for a place to have a late lunch and stopped at the Cross Keys Diner. When we walked in the diner at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon the diner was full, but we did not have to wait to be seated. We both had breakfast. Their omelet special was delicious, as was the French toast. They advertise... More

My wife and I had breakfast at Cross Keys Diner on Sunday. We had very simple breakfasts - I had two eggs over easy, toast, and home fries. My wife had a spinach and swiss omelette with toast and home fries. They were very busy, so we sat at the counter. It took a while for our food to come,... More
