Personally, I think the food is better at the Doylestown location than the Montgomeryville one. Nevertheless, you can't go wrong at either location. Aesthetically, I think the Montgomeryville location is much nicer.

The family came here this weekend. Everything was delicious, very tasty and a good presentation. The place is right off the road and my only negative is the portions were somewhat small. But very good.

Ooka is a staple in our dining out. We have been there many times, and Gary was one of the best chefs we ever had. The food is always good, but half of the fun is the mastery of the chef preparing your meal and this has slowly been disappearing and support staff (thy really only take your order and... More

The staff was good but the food was nothing special. I guess that I like just simply grilled hibatchi veggies and meats as opposed to- too many sauces which were splashed on. I felt like the food tasted more like Chinese food than Japanese food. I was sorry that I didn't try the sushi though. I heard that it is... More

A fun dining adventure that is worth trying. The hibachi table cooking is as entertaining as it is delicious. Advance reservations usually a must.

Go to Ooka over 50 times a year. Everyone loves it! Fresher than fresh Susi and Shashimi. Also an entertaining habachi which the grandkids love!

This is the go-to spot for sushi and hibachi. Make reservations on a Friday or Saturday as the whole neighborhood will likely end up here. My review is based solely on the sushi, as I haven't had their hibachi. We order take-out or dine in at least 3 times per month. The fish is always fresh and tasty. Sashimi or... More

We stopped in for lunch at Ooka and as usual we not disappointed. There is a less hectic vibe at lunch which was nice. My husband enjoyed the sushi sashimi lunch special and I relished the shrimp and vegetable tempura. The fish was very fresh and the tempura very light and crispy. I grew up in Japan and have a... We always choose Ooka when we want Japanese cuisine. We go to the hibachi tables for entertainment and and lots of good fresh grilled food or the bar or tables for fresh sushi. Excellent rolls and impeccable service. You can't go wrong. Make a reservation or be prepared to wait on weekend nights.

Not a big sushi fan, I tend to shy away from restaurant that are well known for their raw fish. Happily, that bias didn't prevent me from experiencing Ooka and I have returned and ordered take out a number of times. If you don't like sushi (and I confess their James Bond roll has won me over!) try the delicious... More
