Usually I've ordered take out with my husband. We love Mexican food and Rincon Tarasco used to be a dependable place. The past year it's changed dramatically! Ordered a steak quesadilla and when we got home, it was only cheese and no salsa or sour cream to dip in. They have been consistently getting things wrong or forgetting something altogether... More

It's really good. The burrito illegal is amazing. Can feed 2 people for $11 no problem. It is not that impressive inside but it's really not that kind of restaurant. Just a place to go get some really good well priced Mexican food. The owner is also a very nice guy.

Don't go there if you expect to be served promptly. They make everything to order. Some dishes take longer than others. It will take a while. Relax and enjoy the chips. It's a restaurant, I won't say the chips are home made, They make them there. Not to be missed. Try the molcajete. It could serve 2, perhaps 3, if... More

The food is ok - nothing spectacular. Very disappointing since there are so many good places to eat Mexican food in Chester County. Very plain, but seems clean. Not quick, either

This is a tiny little place in the center of Downingtown. You might have driven past it for a year or three. But it is worth pulling over to enjoy. The food is full of flavor, tastes fresh, and is made to order. It is not a 'fast food joint', you will likely be done with your home made chips/salsa... More

Rincon seems to strike visitors unevenly. Count me on the upside. First, the decor: well decorated, mirrored walls, amazing bas reliefs in foil. The menu: all the standards (including tongue) and more. We had the veg fajitas and I could not believe what a tasty dish we got, loaded with vegs great sides of beans and rice, with piping hot... Try the molcajete. Unless you're a big eater order it to share for two, and get an appetizer. If you really like spicy order it hot. They have several items on the menu I haven't seen at most other Mexican restaurants. Everything is made there, even the chips. Service isn't fast. Everything is made to order. That takes time. It's... More

They advertise as "Authentic Mexican Food"....I have been to Mexico many times & lived in San Diego for 16 years! This food was terrible! The salsa was too runny and wouldn't stay on the chips. The chicken Enchiladas were so skinny and hardly any chicken inside and DRY! I took the runny salsa and poured it on the enchiladas to... More

I get the vibe..genuine Mexican non chain chow for us gringos..service was crazy slow..sullen non communicative waitress who would obviously be somewhere else.. Strong raw sewage odor from bathrooms near out table..was obviously having sewer issues..average food..funky mismatched plates and glasses. Overall? Shrugs shoulders..ehhh..just ok. Not going back..that will leave more room for those that seem to love it.

Try the Shrimp Tarasco. You'll be back! This is close to authentic Mexican Cuisine that you can get without flying to Ciudad Mejico. The food is good and the prices are reasonable.
