Mildly disappointed with this restaurant, having read previous outstanding reviews and used them as a basis to pull off the highway for lunch on the way back from Ohio. The location is peaceful and even scenic on the outside porch. The food was okay for us, but the place could stand some improvement. To begin, our waitress was a young... More

Out of the Fire, Donegal, PA. It was a pleasant summer evening when we decided to go with our friends to the nearby Out of the Fire Restaurant. We were seated on the porch where the flower baskets were filled with hanging plants, petunias and other decorative plants. The evening was warm with a pleasant breeze gently playing with us.... My husband and I own a rental home in Seven Springs, PA, fairly close to Donegal where Out of the Fire is located. Every time we are out there, we can't wait to get to there....so we always make reservations well in advance. They are BYOB, so bring your favorite drink, whether is it beer or wine, you can bring... I was really torn how to rate this because our food was really outstanding, but the service was pretty bad. I'd definitely give it another try based on how good the food was. We got there on a Friday night with no reservation. They made a big deal about letting us in without a reservation, but I saw quite a... More

To find an upscale restaurant in a low key area of PA was wonderful. The restaurant building itself was inviting, spacious, comfortable. The service first class. I had grilled watermelon salad to start which was amazing. Then had a pork tenderloin entree that had so much flavor and perfect portion size. My husband ordered a steak special med rare and... More

We were traveling with friends through the area and since my husband had not been here we all decided this was the place to stop for lunch. Everyone else in the party had been here at least once so there was no questions as to whether to stop or not. Out of the Fire is conveniently located just off the... More

Not a lot going on a lot I this burg, but wow what a great casual restaurant. Hone smoked salmon, great steaks, pizza, etc. No liquor license, but you can BYO. Patio dining with heaters. Great vibe.

We were not expecting a restaurant like this- great food and service. Loved that it is a BYO. Obviously locally-sourced and great menu. We were so happy to find this gem. We loved the outdoor seating that was instantly relaxing. A fantastic start to our vacation.

My wife and I decided to visit Fallingwater, the iconic American home designed for the Kaufmann family by Frank Lloyd Wright. We stayed in Donegal at the Holiday Inn Express, which was quite nice. But where to eat? The choice was easy: Out of the Fire, rated (by TA) as Donegal's best. Truth be told, of course, best doesn't necessarily... More

We went on a Friday evening for dinner - it was excellent -- wonderful outside seating overlooking the mountains and perfect service - helpful but not overly involved. And, ah, the food - divine. I got the mushroom soup - and am still thinking about it. My husband got the watermelon salad which was excellent. For entrees we had pork,... More
