To find an upscale restaurant in a low key area of PA was wonderful. The restaurant building itself was inviting, spacious, comfortable. The service first class. I had grilled watermelon salad to start which was amazing. Then had a pork tenderloin entree that had so much flavor and perfect portion size. My husband ordered a steak special med rare and... More

We were traveling with friends through the area and since my husband had not been here we all decided this was the place to stop for lunch. Everyone else in the party had been here at least once so there was no questions as to whether to stop or not. Out of the Fire is conveniently located just off the... More

Not a lot going on a lot I this burg, but wow what a great casual restaurant. Hone smoked salmon, great steaks, pizza, etc. No liquor license, but you can BYO. Patio dining with heaters. Great vibe.

We were not expecting a restaurant like this- great food and service. Loved that it is a BYO. Obviously locally-sourced and great menu. We were so happy to find this gem. We loved the outdoor seating that was instantly relaxing. A fantastic start to our vacation.

My wife and I decided to visit Fallingwater, the iconic American home designed for the Kaufmann family by Frank Lloyd Wright. We stayed in Donegal at the Holiday Inn Express, which was quite nice. But where to eat? The choice was easy: Out of the Fire, rated (by TA) as Donegal's best. Truth be told, of course, best doesn't necessarily... More

We went on a Friday evening for dinner - it was excellent -- wonderful outside seating overlooking the mountains and perfect service - helpful but not overly involved. And, ah, the food - divine. I got the mushroom soup - and am still thinking about it. My husband got the watermelon salad which was excellent. For entrees we had pork,... More

This was our second time at Out of the Fire and we were disappointed in both the food quality and the service during this visit. We sat outside on a very pleasant evening. Seating for 4 includes 2 single chairs and a 2-seater. Hubby and I shared the 2-seater...an uncomfortable experience. Our preference for proximity to the table is different... More

The menu changes so call ahead if you have a favorite. It is a bring your own bottle restaurant, and the outdoor seating is beautiful. It takes awhile to get your food, but it is worth the wait. It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. We had called ahead to make reservations and knew about their byob policy which was fine with us since we like to pick out our own wine. We had originally asked about eating outdoors but the staff warned us that a storm was coming and suggested inside. We were very happy that they did... More

Waited over an hour for 6 lunches and when they were brought out had quite obviously been sitting under the heat lamp for a big portion of that time. Presentation was attractive, but taste was mediocre. The price was much to high for the actual quality of the food. One of our meals was served on a large serving of... More
