Not Bad for the Price

The Fu Star is a wonderfully average Chinese buffet. Very no-frills, but they do manage to offer most common favorites along with a few selections for the kids. Dinner will run you less than $10 so it's a good place to eat on a budget. For that $10 you get barbecue ribs, shrimp cocktail... read more

This had to be one of the worst buffet experiences I've ever had. The food , that was barley there, was old. But the most memorable experience is when I asked for napkins the waitress told me to get them myself, and was very rude. It was so bad I just have to laugh.

Anytime we order to pick up we get food that have been reheated and rubbery. They must refry the old left overs. Specially rice taste a day or two old. You need strong teeth to chew the meat. I go to ruyee instead.

We stopped here for a late dinner. I was appalled by the lack of cleanliness- why hasn't the health department shut this place down?? There was dirt all over the shabby, cracked vinyl booths and the walls, while the carpet was indescribably dirty. I won't even talk about the bathrooms- just don't use them unless absolutely necessary. The food was... More

Good food, reasonably priced. Various buffet choices. We stop there every other week and we keep going back. If you are in a hurry, it is great because you can pick your food and eat without delays. Best Chinese buffet in town. Staff is polite and not chatty

Probably the worst Chinese buffet in the area, There are many better choices within 10 to 15 minutes. Do yourself a favor and make the drive.

I have been in the area for a couple of weeks. Restaurants are scarce which left us eating a lot at Fu Star. The staff was very friendly and the food typical of Chinese buffets. The price was very reasonable. (downright cheap considering the offerings) Chicken broth was outstanding. Food could have been hotter. What's up with Chinese Buffets and... More

I see that people eating in seem to like this restaurant. I did not dine in, but ordered take -out. The prices were on par, the reception friendly enough, and fast. I was handed my Take-Away bag, and left. My first scent of dissapointment was that the food did not smell appetising in the bag. Once I got home I... More
