Description: Old Forge Brewing Company is a fun, casual, comfortable brewpub...
Old Forge Brewing Company is a fun, casual, comfortable brewpub specializing in healthy pub fare and fresh brewed beer. Our country was built on the skills and labor of old-world artisanal craftsmen. Woodworkers, carpenters, stonemasons, ironworkers, blacksmiths, tileworkers, and many others came here and employed the knowledge and skills of their craft in building their farms, homes, and towns.Nowadays, it is so easy and convenient to purchase generic products from big-box stores, that we sometimes neglect to appreciate the uniqueness and quality of a hand-crafted product. At Old Forge Brewing Company, we strive to honor personal craftsmanship. Our hand-crafted beer is made in small batches to ensure quality and peak freshness, while the healthy and delicious menu has ingredients sourced from local farms and markets wherever possible. Take the time to notice our bar, furniture, and fixtures which were all handcrafted by local wood and metal worker Keith Kocher (Lightstreet Custom Woodworking). Check out our unique tap handles carved and forged by local artist/sculptor J. Mark Irwin (Irwin Sculpture Studio), and our plates, bowls, and beer mugs, all hand-made by local potter Mike Hart (M. Hart Pottery). We welcome you to stop by and visit us on Mill Street in downtown Danville. Have a bite to eat, sip a fresh pint of beer, and enjoy the friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Leave your troubles on the doorstep and let us take care of the rest.

popular and good

Food was attractively presented and very tasty, server was pleasant. The only downside was the repetitive rock music.

Recently returned to the Old Forge Brewing Company with my family. The entertainment was a very good magician. The Grandson's had a great time with him and he kept us all entertained. The food was great as usual everything from the Burgers to the Bangers and Mash. The service here is the best around, very welcoming and quick. The large... More

A nice pub with a fairly wide variety of their own beers. Good pub food. A bit noisy downstairs, a little quieter upstairs.

I've eaten here frequently with my husband and with friends. I go for the food. The menu is somewhat unique for the area but you don't have to be super-adventurous to try it. I love the sandwiches! Not being a beer-drinker myself, I need to rely on my husband to discuss the brews, made locally. His favorite is Endless Sun,... More

Visited after graduation and had a great time with the family. I didn't have to wait long for a table and the food was splendid. I would recommend this place to my friends looking for a quick bite or something different. They also have a micro brew.

Great place to eat for lunch or dinner. Typical menu for this type of place, but everything is prepared well. The food is good. The beer is wonderful. They have so many varieties to choose from and the servers do a great job explaining what each one is like. Everyone can find a great beer to match their taste.

Busy place. Small outdoor seating rea out front. Two levels. Downstairs appeared to be busier and more of a bar crowd. Upstairs was quieter and more subdued. Small bar area upstairs too (that was nice I thought). If you like beer this is probably the place to try. Small micro-brewery. My husband would have preferred this more than me! However... More

We stumbled upon Old Forge Brewing Company googling for restaurants traveling the nearby highway. Turns out it was 'open mike' so we had free entertainment. The decorations are clever in keeping with the name, there is a nice variety of inexpensive beer ($4-4.50 for 16 oz drafts), and the sandwiches have some interesting combinations. If you like coffee, try the... More

Checked in at 6 PM to Abigail House, relished that environment for an hour or two and walked down to the Old Forge for dinner. Large (two floors)well populated restaurant bar three blocks away. We both had 2 Slack for Stout beers; interesting that they list the alcohol content of all their locally brewed beers. I had a crab quesadilla... More
