If you are in the Pittsburgh area, you NEED to get a Primanti's sandwich. My favorite is a Cheese Combo. The coolest thing about is that the french fries and cole slaw are ON the sandwich. I know that it sounds weird, but it is AMAZING. Even my kids like it! The rest of their food is good too, but... More

I've heard a lot of good things about this restaurant so I decided to give it a try. The portions a very big so bring your appetite. Our group had a selection of their sandwiches and everybody in our group enjoyed their meal.

I have wanted to try this place since I saw it on a food tv show. The sandwich has too much going on, and ultimately the heavy taste of fried and too much slaw overpowers the very small amount of meat. Do not recommend, would not return.

I came here because the guy sitting next to me on the flight in from Denver said that this was Steel town's famous sandwich. I ordered the corned beef sandwich and -- I am sorry -- there is nothing about this sandwich deserving of the attention. I have had a couple of sandwiches before where the maker thought it would... Been going to Primantis in the strip since college in the late 70's. The cranberry location has the same great food quality! Cheesesteak continues to be a fabulous sandwich and I'm also here to tell you that the fish sandwich can't be any better! It is absolutely the best and I live in Boston, the land of great fish! Pastrami... More

This place is over hyped. The food isn't even good. The waitress was too busy gabbing with her friends to realize she never put our order in. We sat there for 40 min and watched everyone around us get served, eat and leave. It's loud and stinky anyway. May be a Pittsburgh tradition but seriously is it worth waiting over... More

I LOVE Primantis. Let's me get that out if they way. But when I stopped by while driving through, hoping to grab some fries for me and my kids, IT TOOK ALMOST 2 hours, just to get some fries. It wasn't that busy, we asked for the manager after an hour, and it still took almost another hour to get... More

With a history tied to the Burg Primanti's is a must do. Your entire meal is served between two pieces of bread and includes cole slaw and French fries. The only acceptable drink is an Iron City.
