They tried.

We were a large group, which is always difficult for any establishment. The salad bar, which is also touted as an alternate meal, was too heavy on starches, with not enough variety of "sa;ad" stuff, and the bowls were not refilled. The salmon was delicious.

The burgers are awesome, the beer mussels to die for and the specials are an unexpected, sometimes exotic treat for a town as small as Coudersport. Wednesday Wing night is an especially fun time with a great variety of chicken and duck wings available PLUS very pleasant live music. The drinks prices are very fair and the remodeled tap room... Hello and thank you for your visit to our hotel and restaurant. We appreciate you visit and do apologize for your sub-par experience. It was a Tuesday and this tends to be our slowest night as we are a very small town. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday are when there is more excitement. The vegetable was beer braised cabbage and there... More

My girlfriend and I went to the Hotel Crittenden expecting a good meal and a great experience based upon reviews we had read. I am giving them a 2 rating purely because they gave us our meals for free when I complained. We should have realized that this was not going to be a good experience when we entered the... More

Ended up in Coudersport one night and this restaurant was suggested to us. A nice surprise, I expected burgers and some sandwiches...it's much more than that. Burgers, yes, but more fine dining---'fine dining' prices, too. But well worth it--one of the best steaks I've ever had, fabulous roasted brussels sprouts, and whaa...? wasabi mashed potatoes?? Nice change from garlic mashed... More

Yep! That's how you spell his name. That's not why you should eat here, though. You should eat here because the food is good and the atmosphere is cool. So why the 'average' rating? At lunchtime the service is slow...really slow. I can't speak for dinner time, so I won't. But we get a one hour lunch and they need... More

Great dining room and great food ! The daily specials and the menu are a great selection of items, the TAP room has a LARGE selection of craft beer, that can be had with diner or lunch.

This place should be the busiest place in town. I'm just not getting it, because the building is historic and gorgeous and the beer selection is great, but the food and the ambience is just not there. I would give it a better review but I was just disappointed thinking they would have an original dish that would draw a... More

Granted, I live in the same town. However, I have to give a review because The Hotel Crittenden is the best kept secret in this area of Pennsylvania. The new owners are doing a great job! My boyfriend and I had dinner there last week. He ordered the special - blackened ahi tuna. I ordered the maple-glazed smoked salmon. Turns... More

Eliot Ness, hero of The Untouchables, lived in Coudersport for the last two years of his life and hung out here to collaborate on his book. If he didn't have the Big Cheesy burger as I did, he missed a lot as he reminisced about pleasant days of plaguing Al Capone. Impressively and appropriately, the burger came with a huge... More

So this was the recommended restaurant restaurant when we went up to Coudersport. Let me start with everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY that I came in contact with were incredibly nice! The bartender, Todd, was phenomenal, not just with making our drinks, but with recommendations on where to sit to what to eat. The food was just average. My husband... More
