How Good it Could Be!

We had heard about this restaurant for some time now. As we drove up, it wasn't much to look at, but when we walked in, it was quite cozy with the paneled walls and huge center hearth. The staff was friendly, but as others have said, a bit slow. The menu is varied and many selections to whet... read more

This was our first time at Tony's Mining Company, but it won't be our last. We had the tender tips and the prime rib. The prime rib was good, maybe a bit too lean, but good. The tender tips were amazing. Loved the sauce they were cooked in - and they were cooked perfectly. Salads were great as were the... More

Sharon was our waitress and she did an AWESOME job! Our drinks, bread and salads were amazing! My seafood meal and my husband's Steak were fabulous! We arrived early so it wasn't crowded and we actually like the way the service was paced. When I see others complain about service being slow it makes me wonder why they did not... More

Ambiance is nice upon first look, inviting fireplace. However there are mismatched lamps placed randomly around the dining room, pictures missing from the wall, cluttered odds and ends with obscure holiday decorations, coat closet full of stuff, not impressed. This place has so much potential with a good cleaning, more staff, some new decorations, more indoor/outdoor lighting and a chef... More

I was looking for somewhere different to go for Valentine's Day this year. We hadn't been to Tony's Mining Company for quite a number of years. I am so glad we decided to go there. The restaurant has dim lights and very romantic. It is beautiful inside with a huge fireplace in the center of both dining rooms. The tables... More

First the good: My Walleye fish stuffed with crab was fabulous and perfectly cooked. The rice was unlike any I have ever had. Who cares about rice? OMG it was savory, fragrant and delicious beyond description. My wife's veal with mandarin orange was really fabulous. This chef is and artist. So why 2 stars? The bad: Fine dining deserves fine... I initially have went to this place and on a slow night ( no one was there) our server took forever to do her job. But the food was her saving grace. Well we went in for our anniversary recently and we requested a table by the fireplace. Jean, the general manager said it fills quickly so she can't promise.... More

We read the reviews but still went on someone's long ago visit. The food was okay but bland. Crab cakes a big no. Stick with the steak and use the pepper. Drinks were good. If your passing through Lebanon Co and Cornwall you can stop by but don't go out of your way!
