Since it was ranked #1 in the area I thought I had to give it try. When I saw chicken marsala as a special I order it since it is one of my favorites dishes. The dish came with mash potatoes with gravy. Since chicken marsala varies I did not know what to expect. I have chicken marsala with this... More

Stuff you might find in Western PA but not in ANY part of Italy I have been. My local friends enjoy the 'portions' seemingly more than the actual taste of what they are eating, uggh! To be fair, I had a very nice steak salad and a decent piece of pie (canned filling and whip cream from a canister) but... More

While visiting the Pittsburgh area on business, I went to this restaurant for dinner on Sunday evening. I had the hot ribeye open faced sandwich and salad. Delicious! More than enough meat without eating the bread. The other two with me shared a sandwich, fries and a salad. That was my first time dining in this restaurant. I was very... More

A recent visit to Armstrong's left me wanting more-a good thing in show business, but in restaurants not so much. It was a special occasion and a steak place seemed too pricey since a friend was paying. So we think comfort food and head to Armstrong's. I decided on the crab stuffed shrimp. The shrimp were overcooked and tough and... More

Some of the best Italian food in Pittsburgh. Wholesome (not exotic) dishes. Fresh salads & bread. Huge portions & reasonably priced. A wholesome family place with an active take out business. The locals love this place! I only miss having wine with dinner--no alcohol served, but you can BYOB without corkage fee.

We all had the steak salad and enjoyed it immensely. Big salad with lot of veggies. Service was great. Definitely recommended.

Stayed at the Embassy Suites on a Saturday in March and we stopped at Armstrong's for dinner. We arrived around 5:30 to a 20 minute wait. There is not an abundance of space in the restaurant, but the food makes up for it. Everything is good and servings are very large and reasonably priced. This is a family restaurant without... More

The food is phenomenal. Have not had a bad entrée. The Baked Ziti, Chicken Parm. sandwich, Steak salad.. OMG! Take out or eat in you cant beat it, servicing staff is fantastic . original manager is a little rough act like you owe him something but when push comes to shove he takes care of his customers.

Got take out one night, sandwiches and pasta, and boy did they not disappoint. One of the best eggplant parmesan sandwiches I have ever had! The pasta dishes are huge and filling.
