Outstanding Italian food!

We are lucky enough to be "locals" and enjoy the food and atomsphere at Totaro's frequently. Cousins from Dublin, Ireland visited and we took them to Totaro's. They were so impressed. These cousins are very well traveled and visit with diginitaries at the Vatican. They are quite familiar with... read more

Based upon reviews in Tripadvisor I choose this place to eat when one of our favorite Italian places had gone strictly catering. My wife, daughter and myself were able to be seated promptly even though we didn't have a reservation. I explained the situation and they were very happy to accommodate us. (We were eating slightly ahead of the busiest... More

This is a small, unpretentious place and ours was a large party of 7 for a late dinner w/ reservation at 8PM on a Friday night, the height of the busy time for the small kitchen with every table filled, and only two waitresses for two rooms . So we forgave the long wait as we had several excellent bottles... More

Awesome food! Superb Italian made from scratch. Prepare for a wait and bring your own wine... Then be prepared to be awed! Our waitress was the chefs daughter-?fun and friendly. Love this place!

Wow, what a meal! Food was spectacular as was the service. Superior to what I expected. The garlic shrimp appetizer alone is worth a return visit! We had the veal chop and pescatore both done to perfection. Warm crusty homemade bread so good that you have to curb yourself or you would fill up. Wait staff warm and fuzzy. The... More

A friend of mine made reservations here for a few days after Thanksgiving. We were (and usually are) a boisterous table of 4 and were so warmly received. Our waitress so thoughtfully moved our table away from the window where it was very very cold. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, the service was great. We had such... More

My wife and I met 4 long time friends for dinner on 10/11/14. Good variety of meals and BYOB. The meals were decent sized but pricey. The food was just good, and the handmade pasta was just OK. The ceasar salad was very good. It was very noisy from the moment we walked in. The service was good but our... More

As good as it gets in the suburbs and as good as any Italian downtown. I had the chicken Marsala. Sublime. Others had Veal Chop and mixed seafood over pasta. The Caesar rocks as well. Totaros is a hidden gem.

A little out of the way, but worth finding. Really good homemade pasta's, and great specials. I had a fish and crab dish with asparagus and every component was perfectly done. Everything is well executed. It's BYOB, so don't forget to bring a bottle. I saw quite a few customers getting take out, so I may try that too.

We were extremely pleased with our evening at Totaro's. Donna helped with our reservation for ten people (made ten days earlier). Our party eventually became a party of seven. This restaurant is BYOB. We brought wine and beer. Our waitress was patient and helpful. Several of our party wished to tailor his/her dish and the kitchen was accomodating. The menu... More
