Whenever I want a nice, Italian dinner, I want to Trattoria Totaro! I even had my baby shower here in 2021. They have delicious apps, homemade pasta and desserts. I love that it's BYOB. I always bring out of towners here when they visit and...they love it as well.More

Very disappointed with the taste of both appetizer (calamari) and entree ( Saltimboca chicken). As a lover of food espically Italian dishes; this was a huge let down.

It is a hot spring night and I can imagine that the restaurant is busy. I was dropping someone off in Conshohocken and wanted to place a curbside order. I called in at 7:00 and didn't need to pick up until around 8:15. They couldn't...consider a take out order for that far ahead, so I went somewhere else. In the past I've been happy with the food. It is a very small restaurant and it is a Saturday night. My absence will not inflict a moment of trouble for them. Bon appetit! My advice to you, dear readers, is have a Plan B ready!More

I’ve been to Totaro many times for lunch and have never been disappointed. Interesting menu, well prepared and nicely served. Also, it’s not on or near Fayette Street, so parking is free and easy. Give it a try!

Our friends asked us to go to dinner with them and they recommended Trattoria Totaro. This was our first time to have dinner there so we drove together which was a 40 minute trip. The restaurant is in a neighborhood so parking is tough to...find, but we got lucky and found a space across the street from the restaurant. We were seated right at our reservation time of 7pm and were allowed to sit at a table set for six people even though we were a party of four. The food was excellent and we will definitely come back in the near future.More

When I go to a BYOB I like to keep my bottle of wine on the table not on the floor like we had to and tables around us did also. The tables are very small and to cram four people around one is not...the way to start a meal. I ordered veal Marsella. The veal was tenderized like a cube steak so it fell apart in your mouth like large pieces of saw dust. The presentation was not very appealing. Pasta on the bottom topped with veal then asparagus on top of that served in a bowl. If they wanted to present this way it should have been done on a large flat plate so if the customer wished to get to the pasta they could easily move the veal and asparagus to one side. Sorry we won't be back.More

The food here is really outstanding Italian. The pasta is home made. The menu selections are varied and hard to choose between. I got an outside table on what probably was the last warm night of the season. Service was thoughtful and attentive. I imagine...that this place can become overcrowded with larger parties. BYOBMore

This was our first visit to this local BYO and it will be the last. We had a reservation for 2 and arrived on time. Because the main dining room was jammed by two tables of 14+, we were only offered to be shoe-horned under...the kitchen window or at a table with no chairs in a corner in the front. The other dining room had plenty of empty tables, but “they are seating for four”. Unlike “Unacceptable”, we will not give this restaurant another chance. They clearly were not interested in our business. Conshohocken has plenty of other restaurants that appreciate the patrons. Trattoria Totaro’s gets a big Philly “BOOOOOO!”More

I just wanted to review my reservation from Friday 9/27.. I had a reservation for 8pm. Upon entering I was ignored by staff for a 8 party table. I stood for approx. 10 mins until finally being acknowledged by staff. Staff repeatedly walked by avoiding...eye contact and conversation. My party sat at 8:10pm. At approx 8:20pm my party asked for their wine to be opened and your staff stated “I’m not assigned to you” and walked away. At 8:30 we still hadn’t been greeted nor had our wine opened so at 8:31pm we chose to leave. This was actually the second time my party decided to give your restaurant a chance and unfortunately the service was even worst that the first time.. I really hope you can learn from this and treat customers the way they are supposed to be treatedMore

I have been to this establishment several times with my family and it seems to never disappoint. Chef Vince was cooking the night that we went and preparation was excellent. I ordered the braised lamb shank and it just melted in my mouth. The accompaniments...were broccoli rabe and rice and were perfectly prepared. My only thought was due to a very busy night, service was a bit slow but understandable. When in Philadelphia, this is a favorite.More

We went here for birthday dinner. It’s a BYOB. Services was excellent and the food was good. I would agree the price is a little on the higher side since they don’t provide salads with their meals but it is a BYOB. We split some...salads and both were very good. They also give you fresh bread from conshy bakery with home blended oil. I got the chicken parm and it was excellent. One other person got the shrimp scampi and the other seafood pescatore. We will definitely go back they have so many things I want to try on the menu. The place is small so make reservations.More

Holiday dinner with work colleagues and spouses...conshy was a good meeting point and Totaro was rated number 1 byob, so we decided to give it a try...menu is huge, so anyone can find something, and they’ll create something if you ask...we were in the small...room up front and it does get loud, but that’s because people are enjoying themselves and having fun...service is very attentive...for apps we shared two kinds of mussels (special, fra Diablo style was great, sherry/leek style was very good), antipasto board and they made the arugula salad with burrata family style for the table...entrees ranged from a rigatoni dish to lobster ravioli to various iterations of veal and shrimp with homemade pasta...I had veal Vivian (veal, spinach, lamb crab, mozzarella over homemade pasta with a white wine cream sauce)...veal was so tender I didn’t need a knife...great dish, could’ve used just a little salt...best part was mopping up,the sauce with the great bread they serve...can’t eat like that every night, but I’m glad I did last night...tiramisu, pumpkin cheesecake, cannolis, chocolate cake and an apple pie we’re all polished off for dessert...overall, I thought Totaro’s was very good and we’ll be back...if I had to compare it to a place with similar food, I think it is almost, but not quite as good as Domani Star/Sorella in Doylestown...bill came to $480 for 8 people - very reasonable for the portions, the quality and the service.More

This was the second time we were here and, again, not disappointed at all. We went in February during Restaurant Week on the pre-fix menu and that was amazing but this time, with over 30 entrees plus specials to choose from, everything with homemade pasta,...it was another great experience. We went right when they opened on a Friday at 5 p.m. and had the place to ourselves. It's a home so as it gets crowded it can get loud but we'll go back in heartbeat.More

I've been searching for a quality real Italian restaurant since living in Italy years ago. Other restaurants just can't compare! The food is all homemade and wonderful. The lunch specials are a DEAL and fantastic. Cute little gelato cart? Yes please. Homemade pastas with amazing...sauces and meats? Yep... gimme! You can't go wrong with this gem and it's off the beaten path- so you don't have to deal with the typical workday lunch crowds. The outdoor seating is cute and typically quiet. The service is wonderful and staff are VERY attentive. Just go- whether it be for a sandwich, soup, pasta, or salad.More
