My partner and I had the four-course Valentine's Day price fixe menu. We started with the cauliflower soup; then we had the ricotta gnudi and the creme fraiche agnolotti. The soup was positively delicious and the presentation--as usual--delightful. In truth, the creme fraiche needed to be warmer. For main courses, we enjoyed the Steelhead trout and Wagyu beef. Both were... More

I wandered into Blckfish by accident. The place has a rather fancy atmosphere and, since I was not dressed for the occasion, I wasn't sure how I'd be received. Luckily, the staff was very welcoming and I was seated at a lovely table by the window. The hostess was very friendly and professional. Harold, my server, was prompt, professional, curteous,... My husband and I and two friends had a wonderful New Year's Eve dinner at Blackfish. It was a set menu but had numerous choices and it was not over-the-top pricey. Most importantly, the food was delicious and the waitstaff spaced the meal with a relaxed pace befitting the celebratory occasion. AND, it is BYOB!

My husband and I had a rare meal out without kids at Blackfish. We ordered the tasting menu and asked if the chef could kindly give us different dishes so we can try twice as many items. As it was not yet busy the kitchen agreed! Thank you Chef! What an experience. The Oyster muse bouche with meyer lemon foam... More

Visited on Saturday and ordered the 7 course tasting menu. Next time I visit philly I will stick to the 5 course tasting menu as I had to be rolled out but I would not pass on any of the courses! Started with an a mouse Boucher that wasn't included in the total course. Best oyster ever! It had a... More

A truly great dining experience. Great service, a warm and convivial setting and perfectly prepared food. I was impressed from beginning to end; even the amuse bouche was a perfect 10. I highly recommend this BYOB for couples up to large groups looking for fabulous dining experience.

I had the pleasure of dinning at Blackfish last evening with a good friend for the first time. Our waiters for the evening , Jeff and Josh, took care of our every need without being pervasive. They were extremely knowledgeable about the menu and guided us through one of the best meals in recent memory. Among our favorites were the... More

I imagine the menu changes here often, but if possible you have to try the "Gently Smoked Scottish Salmon," WOW. This had all of my favorite ingredients and textures with smoked salmon, a soft poached egg and mizuna. I also tried a delicious cured albacore tuna for my first course. From here I had the Atlantic Sea Bass, which was... More

This BYOB restaurant serves interesting and tasty food in a quality manner. Service is top notch as is the presentation. What I liked the most was the different tastes that you experience. From the soups which are unusual but always great to the fish or lamb or chicken main entrées which are of good 'volume' for an establishment of this... More
