Mostly fried but good!

Cajun food in the heart of Lancaster PA! Good service and good food. Where else can you find fried alligator in Lancaster?

If you like things a little different for this part of the country you won't be disappointed here. I love the "Piece of Tail" Alligator bites and the Crab Stuffed Onion. Other dishes are also delicious with that hint of cajun flavor. There are also traditional restaurant items if members of your group aren't into adventurous eating. Fun atmosphere, especially... Took my wife, daughter and grandson. First they were out of alligator. Then we were surprised (and disappointed) that the sweet sticks were no longer on the menu. Have always enjoyed the atmosphere. Waiter (bartender) was very attentive and helpful, although it wasn't very busy. Grandson loved the chicken toes (fingers). Rest of the meal was enjoyed by all. Will... More

Food is always excellent. And hey trip advisor says they are closed Thursdays but I am most certainly sitting here enjoying the great music, yummy steamed clams and a huge juicy burger. I think it's mean if someone is messing with these good people. Burger was only $5 in the bar nothing is over priced who put down that the... More

Not the most awful food but far from great or even good. Calling it Cajun is a stretch. Waitress was nice enough.

Recently, my extended family of 6 met up in Columbia to try Prudhomme's. We ordered a bunch of different dishes and drinks and came away happy. The waitstaff is friendly, the decor/atmosphere is fun, and the food was....good enough. Seriously, what were you expecting? Some of the dishes were great, one or two were awful, but most were perfectly fine... More

This was our second time at the restaurant, the selection in Columbia PA isn't very vast, we were out touring central PA on our motorcycle and I was hungry! Because the first time we visited the appetizers were good (but the main course wasn't) I figured I could get away with soup and a sandwich. First I ordered unsweetened regular... More

This business is owned and run by a relative of the "N'Orlins" Prudhomme and cooks authentic bayou food. The building itself has interesting history which the owners will share with you. There is a fully stocked bar with a hoot of a bartender. The food is really good but and the portions are generous. It's nice for a couple, but... More

Out to dinner with 7 family members on a Saturday night. We had reserved a table for 7pm. Although we were seated right away, our drink order was not taken until 15 minutes later and we finally received our appetizers at 7:45. Good thing we could laugh, talk, and drink beer to pass the time. Food was delicious, but everyone... More

This is the first time I visited Prudhomme's for lunch. The room was empty, so service was quick. If you do go for lunch, bring a big appetite, or someone with whom to share. A bowel of delicious seafood gumbo, and a shrimp Po, boy, which comes with a pile of really good french fries, was enough for 2 people... More
