For 15 years Patsel's has stood out as a great restaurant amongst much mediocrity. It is closing because the community was not ready to consistently support a such a great restaurant . John and Pat Arkins( owners): Kudos to a job so very well done. Great food and wonderful ambience.

Patsel's is beautifully decorated and has a lovely garden. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food and desserts were delicious. It is a little pricey but worth the time to visit for a special occasion. I am sorry to hear that it is closing.

Perfect way to lift your spirits on a cold, dreary, rainy Sunday afternoon. It is like walking into a sunshine rainbow entering the restaurant. Staff and food fantastic. So sad to hear it is closing :( A rare gem to visit before the closing.

Patsel's is a feast for eyes and palate. Interesting art, standout decor, lovely gardens. And excellent food! We usually go for lunch and choose one of the specials. Soups especially are excellent. Attractive presentation, attentive waitstaff. Fair prices. The chef has been here since the place opened almost 15 years ago -- just about unheard of in the restaurant business.... More

We have been dining at Patsel's since we discovered them in 2001 and it is always our "go to favorite" when we need to celebrate or just to have a pick-me-up. We always bring special friends here and are so sad they will be closing Aug. 31, 2014. We will go as often as we can until then and continue... More

We traveled 40 miles and it was worth it. It was the best brunch we ever had however it is pricey but the food is excellent and the homemade desserts excel. I can't stop thinking about the coconut key lime pie. I will miss this place when they close in Aygust 2014.

Since an earlier review I've fortunately been able to partake of both dinners and brunches at Patsel's. Most recently we had brunch at the height of the season for dahlias, which filled the exquisite gardens behind the dining rooms and filled also vases on all the tables. So there we were: excellent food, good friends, and the most pleasant surroundings... More

I live in Florida but I spend 3 or 4 months each summer in the Poconos. Patsel's is a 50 minute drive for me but I manage to enjoy 3 or 4 lunches per summer there. The restaurant itself is beautiful: light, colorful and artistically decorated. Fresh flowers abound. The main lunch menu changes every few months but there is... More
