Italian Village Casual Restaurant

April 14. I stopped by for lunch. Kristin served a delicious Cream of Asparagus Soup. I then had the tasty, hot veggie sub with provolone cheese. Lemonade was also good. Cost$10.50; you can't beat the price. The Italian Village Casual Restaurant consistently serves quality food. Love this place... read more

Wasn't extremely hungry when we went, but I'm always in the mood for Italian. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. Hubby got Angel Hair with meat sauce. I didn't try his order, but mine was only fair. The sauce was nothing spectacular - not too spicy or flavorful. The bread with the meal was wonderful - warm and just perfect.... More

It took 30 minutes to be served a hero sandwich Only one other table occupied.. All lunch specials come with fries or salad. I was charged $1.75 to get a salad and not fries . It is also $1.75 for fries if menu specifies salad. Makes no sense to me. One lost customer. One annoying lunch.

This is our all-time favorite restaurant! When living in Pennsylvania, we ate here almost every week, about 30 miles away from our home. The food is out-of-this-world delicious (my fave is the Primavera w/angel hair pasta) and the homemade bread so very yummy (especially dipped in the house salad dressing!). Hubby likes everything on the menu! The straight-from-Italy owners are... More

I was working late in the area and I pulled into the lot because I could see the open sign from down the highway. It was about 840 pm and I was looking forward to eating at a decent family restaurant for a change. As I shifted into park an employee ran to the front and turned off the open... More

We stop in this place fairly often because it's consistently good. Sometimes we go for pizza; sometimes for pasta; sometimes for sandwiches; sometimes for a full course dinner-- it's always good. And specials are imaginative and tasty. Why go to a chain restaurant with industrially produced food when you can have the real thing?

While nothing "special", Italian Village offers a terrific Italian meal and a comfortable environment in whicl to enjoy it. Mega-portions and yummy, hearty sauces to go with perfectly prepared pasta.

Passing through on business. Stopped in after reading 4 and 5 star reviews. Slightly disappointed. This might be considered great Italian food in rural Pensylvania, but it wasn't anything special. Not much better than Olive Garden, just more expentive.

Wife and I had the Stromboli. It was very good. Kids had spaghetti and pizza; both of which where well liked by the kids. Food is a little pricey, but we always have good meals here. We will be back!

If You are ever in the Shippensburg/Chambersburg area, the Italian Village (in Chambersburg)is a great casual spot to visit for a nice meal. The owners are very friendly & accommodating. We stop there once a year with a track team competing at the State Meet and they are always very, very helpful with our demands. The food is delicious and... More
