We dined at Bistro 71 on a Friday night. We had two of the evening's specials, a chicken and pasta dish, and a ribs dish. Both had excellent flavor. The portions were moderate but not too small. Our server was attentive. We ate on the back patio which was nice except for one persistent fly. A couple making the rounds... More

Thank you Trip Advisor. We found Bistro 71 from TA when we were driving through the area. The food and the service were excellent. We had two appetizers (fries and lamb), and two main dishes (scallops and duck). Everything was tasty and perfectly cooked. I don't give out 5 stars casually, but we couldn't find anything wrong with our meal.... More

We stopped in Chambersburg while traveling, and thanks to the positive reviews in Trip Advisor and Yelp, decided to give it a try. Every aspect of our meal was superlative from drinks to dessert. Service was wonderful as was Larry, the proprietor. It's not cheap, but well worth it.

Food was terrific, nice ambiance, "drink of the day" was spot on. Live music was top notch without being intrusive. No need to eat at a chain restaurant when there's a locally-owned great option available.

When we ride our Harley for a weekend trip, we try to find restaurants within walking distance of our B&B which limits our choices and sometimes the quality of our dinners. But not this time! Bistro 71 was about a 10 minute walk and when we got there we were delighted by the welcome and attention. A big plus, which... More

I can't recommend this restaurant enough. The owners are so personable and thoughtful and are engaged in the challenge to provide great dining in a small town. We had a fabulous special dinner sharing luscious mussels in white wine and garlic appetizer and an asian spiced shrimp app, then a perfectly sweet lobster chowder and we both had a perfectly... Great food in a small but very cozy downtown location. Open for evening dining Tuesday through Saturday and Sunday brunch from 10 AM to 2 PM.

This is by far the best restaurant in this area. Most of the other choices in this town are mass produced food made in chain restaurants. The wine list and house wines are very nice. The food is delicious. The beef satay is flavorful. The crab cakes are mounds of lump crab meat. The fish is well prepared. The dessert... More
