Kevin is amazing!

We have not been here in several years-knew nothing about change in ownership and menu until reading reviews on this site. We sat at the bar hoping to find our favorite sandwich on the menu. It was not. Kevin was very attentive and personable, making drinks and cooking. He stepped up and offered to... read more

Not OPEN! Says it's open until 2am. We went and it's dark, no one there at 10pm. Now we are in our hotel room starving. No one answered the phone. I don't know where everyone else is going.

Who knew? I've lived in Brandywine Valley for 30 years and on a whim after golf on a Thursday, we tried Chadds Ford Tavern for a beer. Well, it was better than good...it was an experience. We learned that the Tavern changed hands about a year ago and a really nice young couple is breathing life back into the place!... More

We went here with friends this past weekend to hear their friends' band play. After reading mixed reviews ahead of time, I wasn't sure what we'd find but it was great. We were all happy with our food selections. The waiter was new but he did a great job. Pizza was delicious, mushroom soup and porkette very good and what's... More

We visited the area for the weekend to visit long wood gardens and happened upon this unassuming tavern. We were pleasantly surprised to find great live music, good food, and a well maintained restaurant. Not to mention the very friendly, accommodating and patient owner Kevin. We were traveling with two young children aged 3 and 5 and at one point... More

I gave a 3-star review based on my average experience across 4 visits to the Tavern (3 at the bar, 1 in the dining room). My wife and I live ~2 miles away and are really optimistic that this can turn into a mainstay for us. With two kids (5 & 2) we don't have a lot of time to... More

We ate there twice. Both times, the food was superb. Excellent ingredients are prepared with care and creativity. The first time we saw an amazing performer, Bob Croce, who played guitar and harmonica and could sing everything perfectly, and I had one of the best bowls of mushroom soup. The second time, we brought the family, including two small raucous... More

My husband and I live near the Chadds Ford Tavern, and we keep hoping that it will improve, but no luck. We went there last night, to try again, and were handed filthy dirty paper menus to start. I was already worried, but took a leap of faith and ordered dinner. The pizza was undercooked, and the crust was very... More

Was visiting family near Chadds Ford so we decided to ask go to dinner at this Tavern. There were 10 of us and we were able to call ahead for seating. The pub itself is rustic with a bar on one side and a dining room on the other. Live music was entertaining the crowd at the bar, which we... More

Folks - this was pretty poor. It's such a shame that the new owners are not trying to sustain the legacy of this old institution. $12 for a hamburger that was so small and on a bun that looked like it came from the grocery store. It was presented less attractively than if it were at a high school cafeteria.... More
