Was visiting family near Chadds Ford so we decided to ask go to dinner at this Tavern. There were 10 of us and we were able to call ahead for seating. The pub itself is rustic with a bar on one side and a dining room on the other. Live music was entertaining the crowd at the bar, which we... read more

We ate there twice. Both times, the food was superb. Excellent ingredients are prepared with care and creativity. The first time we saw an amazing performer, Bob Croce, who played guitar and harmonica and could sing everything perfectly, and I had one of the best bowls of mushroom soup. The second time, we brought the family, including two small raucous... More

My husband and I live near the Chadds Ford Tavern, and we keep hoping that it will improve, but no luck. We went there last night, to try again, and were handed filthy dirty paper menus to start. I was already worried, but took a leap of faith and ordered dinner. The pizza was undercooked, and the crust was very... More

Folks - this was pretty poor. It's such a shame that the new owners are not trying to sustain the legacy of this old institution. $12 for a hamburger that was so small and on a bun that looked like it came from the grocery store. It was presented less attractively than if it were at a high school cafeteria.... More

Fun atmosphere. Great music from McGraw and McLaughlin. Friendly bartenders. Service was fine. Beer was cold but unfortunately the white wine was served at room temperature. The food was sketchy at best. Had a crock of very good snapper soup, slightly overpriced at $7.00 for the quantity but very good and well presented. Ordered the bacon burger and got a... More

Haven't been to the Chadds Ford Tavern since '92 and my next visit will be much sooner. Great atmosphere for St. Pats. The Guiness was flowing and the Irish Girls were a dancin'. We had appetizers at the bar and the service was great even with a loud fun crowd. Can't wait to go back and the next time may... More

Stopped in for a bite and a drink after a museum tour. Place has a good vibe and lucky for us a great Irish musician was playing. Bartender was very friendly. And finally, lunch was great. Snapper soup was terrific and the sausage sandwich was very tasty. Great tavern.

We went to the Chaddsford Tavern for the first time tonight. The hostess had an attitude and asked if we had a reservation, like we needed one. The restaurant was half empty. We then sat for a half hour to be waited on..... we were ready to keave. The waitress was unaware we were in her section. The 24 dollar... More

My wife and I stopped in to the Chadds Ford Tavern to see Bob Croce sing and to have a drink. We were pleased to see the place looking like we remembered it and many people enjoying themselves. It was like a time machine moment. My wife asked for a shot of Fireball and as the designated driver I asked... More
