Our group of four had different opinions on the dinners chosen. The pork chop special was excellent as was the prime rib, but the 6oz fillet special was overly cooked for medium well. We would try again. Bar ladies bathroom was substandard.

The Rustic Tavern in Carlisle, Pennsylvania is a fun restaurant. It is also a busy restaurant, so make sure you call ahead for reservations. The help are always cheerful and the service is great, considering the fact that the place is usually full or almost full. We make sure to eat there every year when we attend the Chrysler show at... I went to this restaurant with my Dad after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and from a recomendation from our Hotel's Clerk. My dad and I ordered the Prime Rib and we shared the fried calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was "soggy" not crispy and the $21+ Prime Rib was just so-so. Sorry folks but we were not... More

We visited the Rustic Tavern over Easter weekend. I had the shrimp and scallop zorba--it was delicious and a very large serving. I had enough left over for lunch the next day. The drink menu is extensive. Everyone at our table ordered something different and everything looked delicious. The restaurant was very busy and it did take a while to... More

First, it's a good thing we had reservations because the restaurant was packed. It seems when there is an event in Carlisle, this time at the fair grounds, people flock to the Rustic Tavern, And for good cause; the food is excellent! There were four of us in our group and we all enjoyed our meal very much. Being that... More

We go there 4-6 times a year. The menu is limited, but the food is quite good. I often defer to the shrimp stuffed with crab imperial or the broiled scallops. Both go well with an ice cold draft beer. It gets hectic on a Friday night, but you can usually find a corner table and stool in the bar... More

Rustic tavern is a unique find in town! Cozy fireplace and great food- what more could you want? Seafood and steaks are quite good- crab imperial is my go to favorite. Simple straightforward menu, service is good but you may need to wait for your food on a busy night.

This is a nice little place that has both a bar and a Resturant. My wife and I go here at least once a month. Has a fire place that's nice to sit by in the cooler months. The food is good and they have a decent beer selection. The staff is always friendly.

My husband and I visited the Rustic Tavern on a Saturday evening and it was jam packed! That was a good sign. The wait was about 25 min. We opted to eat in the bar area. Our barkeep and waitress was Megan. The poor girl could have used some help, she was alone tending bar and waiting tables! She was... More

Stopped by chance at the Rustic Tavern late Thursday night on our way to Pittsburgh. What a great spot for a nice little break and a GREAT meal with equally as great service. It was late when we stopped and the dining room was empty, we weren't sure if they were still serving, but we were greeted with a warm... More
