My husband and I found this lovely place traveling through Carlisle about the same time last year and loved it. When we arrived in Carlisle on the evening of 7/8, there had been a nasty thunderstorm that had knocked out the power in part of town. We could not check into our hotel because it had no power. We called... More

We selected items on the menu that we thought would be no fail. We've been traveling by car & were looking for a great dining experience. We were disappointed & have to call this strictly average with the potential for improvement. It is in a quaint location in downtown historic Carlisle. Parking can be a challenge but there is a... Useful information: 1) On Pomfret Street in the heart of Carlisle; 2) it is no longer a BYOB place but they have a decent wine list; 3) parking is on the street, at meters, or in a nearby garage. This restaurant was a mixed experience for me. The food was very good. My appetizer and baked eggplant were top notch.... More

Wonderful high-end Italian food served on the first floor of a Civil-War-era house. Bar is tiny, but somehow made more fun to wait at by its small size. Highly recommended for a special night out, either with your partner or a small group of good friends.

Wanted to eat out on short notice with our kids (8/13) who generally like Italian food, wife and I haven't been here in years, it was not busy and we sat inside at a small table, the server was training a new person, calamari appetizer was perfectly cooked but under seasoned - needed salt and the attendant sauce was very... Service was top notch. Drinks before dinner were great. Calamari was good. Desserts and coffees were delish. The main couse was a little let down. I had the veal and it just was not very tasty. Everything else was great.

I love this place - everything about it is wonderful: the atmosphere is delightful - prettily set tables, an enclosed patio with large windows overlooking a little garden, hanging individual lighting for the tables create a really nice atmosphere, the bar is super cute too and what a shade of red! The food is remarkably reasonably priced probably because the... More

My husband and I decided to take an adventure and go find some place that was not a chain and not anywhere we had tried before. We were going to be making a trip to Carlisle to do some shopping and looked on Trip Advisor to see what others were recommending. After some consideration we chose Piatto. What a cute... More

Not real Italian cuisine like it pretends to serve, bad quality food and way to expensive for what it is. My husband and I had the Salumi to start with, nothing wrong with the cold cuts, but the "today's loca greens" were obviously not from today since the salad had gone bad and contained slimy pieces. After we had the... More

Thanks very much for telling us of your experience at Piatto. I'm sorry we did not live up to your expectations. I would like to make a few clarifications concerning your comments. After a warm welcome at the door, we were shown to our table and presented with menus. After some very nice cocktails, our waiter explained the evening's special and answered questions very intelligently. All our food (we were a party of 5) was presented quickly and attractively and was very well done. In all, a very good experience. The only... More
