I went for dinner on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was not busy and I was seated immediately upon arrival. My food was wonderful. I started with the Belgium frites and curry ketchup, which did remind me of frites I have eaten in Europe. My main course was the pan-seared salmon which was delicious. Staff was great and service swift.... More

Very busy place, you should plan on a wait. Food is tasty and portions are reasonable sized. Beer is there focal point, food complements it well. A little pricey. I recommend the chocolate mousee

Café Bruges is one of my favorite places in Carlisle. Their frites (like French Fries) are tasty and the portion sizes are generous. You can choose various sauces for your frites (I love the horseradish sauce). They give you enough frites for almost 4 people! My favorite entrée is the Stoemp Salcisse (a sausage dish) that is just seasoned to... More

We had a great meal but you absolutely have to try the french fries. I think we ordered them to share with 2 dips but there were other dips I would have liked to try so maybe next time I'll go with a bigger group so we can get them all! Our waitress was lovely and even staff not assisting... More

The Cafe Bruges is like a German beer hall, so noisy it is difficult to talk. Our waiter was very personable, however, and the food was very good. We recommend the quiche and the Bruge burger.

Was in Carlisle for business and was in need of some lunch. I spotted Café Bruges and decided why not. Needless to say I was not disappointed. The lunch menu had a number of tasty offerings, including a handful of specials. I only wish I would have been able to enjoy some of their delicious Belgium beers, as they had... More

Good food. A bit noisy. Beer was yummy. They accommodated our picky kids' need for plain eggs and for a burger during Sunday brunch with no problems.

My husband and I met my cousin and her husband there for dinner one night. This was her recommendation and we were very happy with it. The atmosphere can get a bit loud since it is a smallish place, but the wait staff was friendly and knew their products. Fine selection of beer if that is your thing. The food... More

Who'd a thunk it -- delicious Belgian food in the middle of Pennsylvania! My husband's family is from Belgium so we had to have lunch there. He had a hearty meal of sausage and potatoes. I made the mistake of ordering two salads, thinking they would both be appetizer size. This was much too much food! Too bad -- both... More
