Great Cheesesteaks in Central PA

I have been eating here for 15+ years, I grew up nearby & cheese steak and hoagies have always been good. Dave has kept the quality consistent while keeping prices reasonable. Cheesesteaks and great, we also like the chicken salad hoagie (although sometimes the chicken salad changes brands). Always... read more

Ditched the food court at the mall and went for something really tasty. My son and his wife said the place was good and they were right. My wife and I had the provolone steak with mayo and onions; just super. I got a hot pepper from the condiment bar that warmed my mouth and really brought out the flavor... More

We have been going to Philly Steaks and Hoagies for many years now. We haven't visited for a while so we decided to return during the week between Christmas and New Year. The staff and place never change...which is a good thing. Even though we went during the holiday period, they were still very crowded for lunch. The Original with... More

If you want an authentic Philly Cheesesteak, this is the closest you'll get outside of traveling to Philadelphia. They have all of your usual options - cheese whiz, provolone, American, etc. Pile it up with your favorites like hot or sweet peppers, even lettuce and tomato. It is quick, they have the routine down pat, and you can choose your... More

Lived in Philadelphia for many years, was a regular at Jim's, Abner's and Chubby's. Now in Central PA and am so grateful these guys are here -- this is as close to a Philly cheesesteak as you can get outside of Philly. The service is fast and friendly. The food is sloppy and delicious. My only gripe is with the... More

I have eaten at Pat's and Geno's in Philly and this is the closest you will come, this far away from Philly! Their , meat is sliced in house and the rolls are , imported from Philly! Whenever I have the opportunity, I eat here, and have never been disappointed.

Best and as good as Philly with good service and hot food. Good place for a quick sandwich and drink to eat in or take out.

The bread is always fresh. Overall, the steak subs are excellent but occasionally over cooked a bit. Typical mom & pop type atmosphere.

We just happened to fund this location, thanks to TripAdvisor! Owners we super NICE and FRIENDLY! They gave my 4 yr old meatballs for free, even though we didn't ask them. The subs were being cooked while we were still ordering. So yummy!!! We all devoured our cheese steaks in minutes! They even foil wrapped our leftovers. We are in... More

I was in from out of town and wasn't going to be near Philly. I was still craving an authentic cheese steak. Steaks & Hoagies did not disappoint. I had the original wit wiz, large size. Skipped the fries. It was awesome. Loved the mushrooms, onions, and peppers. This is not health food, but it was worth every delicious bite.... More
