After church last Sunday we stopped at Hardwood Cafe and were pleasantly pleased. There are several rooms where tables covered with linen are set up; we sat near a big fireplace. The menu is filled with decetious choices and we were very pleased with our meals. The portions very ample in taste as well as appearance.

The bartender josh was very courteous and well mannered? Food was prepared to ordered and brought out in a timely manner. Atmosphere was pleasant. Would highly recommend!

Been going to Hardwood for years. Menu does not vary much but there is a good vsriety plus they have a pretty good "specials" menu. Love their draft beer. Just recently they added Ky Bourbon Barrell beer on tap. Really a great beer.

“Disappointing meal” Very disappointed. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. Tonight was horrible. The food was tasteless and boring. My husband had pork that had little flavor. My son and I had two different pizzas. We could have made better tasting pizzas ourself at home. The waitress had no idea how any of the specials tasted, when... More

After using our cell phones to illuminate the menus in this dark restaurant, where none of the tabletop candles were lit, we both settled on the lamb chops. My salad came with nice Danish blue crumbles but was unremarkable -- what is the excuse for a salad in August without tomatoes? -- and boasted only a single slice of cucumber... More

My husband and I decided to stop to enjoy our favorite pizza in town but when we looked at the menu we decided we each wanted dinners. Crab cakes and veal were the choices for this visit. As always, a wonderful meal! We were also here about a month ago during an ahi special night and it's great to see... More

Went to dinner there last night with a party of 14 for a high school graduation. Atmosphere was nice, table and seating was nice and the server(didn't catch his name) was pretty good and he hustled. However, I think the food is overpriced, NYC prices in Butler. I ordered the shrimp stir fry which was basically a pile of rice... More

Great food and consistent...what more could you ask for in a great place. Wood fired oven gets the job done with great taste and flare!!! Stone fireplace is the center piece of the dining area adjacent to the bar!!! Good people that care about the customers...servers have skills and know the menu well!!! Our first stop on the way home... More

I think that a good measure of a business is how they react when an issue arises. For example, i used to be a huge fan of The Brick House in Butler. Then, they changed chefs and i had a bad meal there. The owner couldn't even be bothered to talk to me about it, and insulted me when i... More
