Got your attention, right? Yes, no liquor license so the margaritas are free. The food is authentico and the wait staff is knowledgeable. One of my friends is a vegetarian and 3 off menu dishes were available . I recommend the queso con chorizo appetizer. The duck and fajitas were also delicious. Everything is hot and fresh tasting. The kitchen... More

Tamarindos looks like it's nothing from the outside; a small entrance in an otherwise dull strip mall near Blue Bell, PA. However once inside, it's hopping with energy and good food. As others said, it can be a little pricey since you're not paying for alcohol but the portions are big enough that you'll have doggie bags to take with... More

I'll get this out of the way first - the only reason I didn't give Tamaridos and "Excellent" rating is because it was oddly expensive for a BYO. For two people with 1 app and two entrees it was $90. This is the 2nd time that I've been very surprised by a restaurant in a strip mall. It was loud... More

This place is a real find, tucked away in a strip mall, and well worth the trip. The free margaritas are amazing, and they just keep coming. No reservations, except for large groups, so get there early. The place really fills up, so I really am hesitant to tell too many people about it! We discovered it in late November... More

We visited Tamarindo's on Saturday, November 9th at around 7:30.We had to wait approximately 1/2 as the place was packed. From waiting in the foyer, it seemed as if the tables were uncomfortably close while dining, but when we were actually seated, it really wasn't it factor. As busy as they were, after being seated we had no more than... More

We've been going to Tamarindo's for years. With the purchase of an entree, they give you free Margartias made with fresh lime juice that are so fantastic! My 9 year old son loves the simple, home made tortillas with beans and rice. I love the fajitas. My husband loves the chile relleno. The fried fish is outstanding... I think they... More

We were on our way to check out another Mexican restaurant a couple of miles away, but were in bumper to bumper traffic. While stopped, we noticed a small strip shopping center with a Mexican restaurant and decided to pull into the lot. The lot was almost empty, and I suggested to my wife, “Let’s give it a try anyway”.... More

Really, The food at Tamarindos is EXCELLENT! I have never in 5 plus years had a bad meal there. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. The owner Fernando is super hospitable. This is one of if not my favorite restaurants.

TAMARINDOS is a very pleasant surprise in the burbs outside of Ambler. Although the outside looks very unimpressive, the inside is comfortable and decorated with interesting modern art. Not the usual Mexican stuff. The food is different from most other Mexican restaurants. If you are looking or tacos and enchiladas, you are in the wrong place. The food is very... More

This is a cute spot to go for good Mexican food. The free Margaritas were tastey. Very casual atmosphere. The sevice was attentive but not hovering the entire meal.
