Decent restaurant, a Little Tired

This seems to be the favorite restaurant of retirees in the Pittsburgh area. Everything here is actually pretty average. They do have a big parking lot. Varied menu, something for everyone.

My husband and I attended a club meeting there on a Wednesday night so we had our own private dining hall. The service staff was friendly and attentive. We had a set limited menu to choose things from. They served Butler Style hors d'oeuvres of a vegetable and cheese display; fresh fruit; chicken kabobs and shrimp cocktail. I usually see... More

Handicapped parking very poor- did not realize mother would need to negotiate a curb and dips in dirt to cross driveway to get to location. Private room is nice and worked well for this gathering. Very tired. Staff was pleasant. Service average. Returned bread plates that had food stuck on them. Asked server for what types of cabs did they... More

Brought my entire family here for a visit. I would say the atmosphere is like going back to the 80's. I think the prices are high for the food you receive, food is bland and outdated. I had the onion soup which was salty, the filet which was small and overdone, and dessert which tasted like it was bought at... More

the food here is very consistent ....I always have the Virginia Spots and I recommend this to all my friends....yes, the place could use a tune-up visually, and yes, every senior in the area does eat here, me included...I like comfort, good food, and exceptionally friendly service, which I get here.

We decided to try Peter's Place since we were going to a movie close by. The menu is very diverse with a choice for everyone. I had the strip steak which was done perfectly and twice baked potato and my friend had veal marsala that was pounded thin and tender and friends had the prime rib and veal romano. The... More

We celebrated our moms 75th birthday there. The 3 of us ordered crabmeat almondine and the rest got veal dishes. The 3 of us that got the crabmeat dishes all got really sick! My sister couldn't go to work in the morning, she still was very ill. I called the owner and told him what happened and we were very... More

The food here is always good, the lobster tail is great, sides good, service good, prices good, BUT this is a really dated eatery, they have Christmas trees up all year round with flags on for 4th. of July, valentines in February and eggs, bunnies for Easter, yuck. We go back for taste and value, but wish the damn trees... More

My family and I ate here as a group on a Saturday night, and it was...interesting. The service was not very attentive, and albeit we were a large party, at times it was borderline rude by one of the servers. We were drinking wine and cocktails throughout the course of dinner, but nothing out of the ordinary. One of the... More
