Nice pub meal, great value

We enjoyed our outing to Duffy's for dinner. Monday night seems to be discount burger night, but be sure to consider the whole range of food here. The curried crab dip was delicious and the calamari was tasty too. I enjoyed the brisket sliders with sweet potato fries. Service was good, and... read more

This really had promise! 2 overpriced burgers, it is always better to have less thick in the middle and cover the bun, almost too hard to eat. It became a knife and fork meal. With no offer of drink refills at 250 a pop! Came with a side of coleslaw or potato salad. Or you can pay $1.50 extra for... More

Duffy's Tavern is our favorite spot for a romantic dinner or lunch. A historic tavern from long ago, Duffy's boasts cozy ambiance with room after room of fireplaces, stone walls, antiques and soft lighting . It also has an authentic stone barroom that makes you feel as though you are in the Irish countryside. For those who enjoy a more... More

The staff was very friendly to a single diner and not overly solicitous. The atmosphere was charming. The menu diverse. Highly recommend.

We were in State College for the night and wanted a great meal. A cute historic restaurant with lots of charm. We called ahead for reservations and we were seated immediately. Service was okay. We did not know our servers name, no specials were given and we had to ask for water (including refills of it.) We had calamarri as... More

Duffy's Tavern is a small town pub which offers a lot of historic charm and atmosphere. Seating areas range from those adjacent to the bar to dining room tables for those looking for a quieter setting. Several gas fireplaces are often lit and the old murals and wood trimmed walls add to the tavern's history. There is also a bright... More

We decided since it was the weekend before St. Pat's to do an Irish Pub. I am Irish, but I usually expect very little going to IrishTavern. Duffy's changed that expectation. Duffy's is situated in a quaint, charming village. The building is ancient, and cozy. The rooms all have fire places. The staff greeted us(party of 6 without reservations) with... More

We stayed at the Springfield house B&B just across the street where our hosts recommended Duffy's Tavern. Since we were not up for any more travelling that night we gave it a try. This place knocked our socks off! We hadn't high hopes for a tavern in a tiny town. Our meal was one of the best dining experiences we've had.... More

Dined here on Valentine's Day. Our server was attentive and personable, wish I remembered her name! We started with the oyster stew, the special of the day. Our salads were fresh and the dressing was served on the side without us asking. My husband ordered the elk loin- I sampled it and it was fantastic! so tender, and the cider... More

While at Penn State for a sporting event, we chose Duffy's Tavern for Saturday evening's dinner. We had a reservation for 6:30pm. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated immediately. Our server was attentive and took time to answer several questions about the menu. There were three of us and each one of us was thoroughly satisfied with... More
