We go to Phils regularly and have been for years. No issues other than the prices are too high for what you get. The portion sides are generous, but some items (for example the French onion soup for $7) just isn't worth it in my opinion. Dessert prices are way overpriced. As my title says, good food but overpriced.

Great casual resturant! They have a very large menu so it may take a few minutes to decide what to order, but the staff is fine with that, you never feel rushed. The portions are LARGE and deliscious. One of my favorites is the cheese steak sandwich. They are also fine if you want to make some changes as everything... More

This place has so many choices, you could eat here every day for a year and not have the same thing twice. I've only been twice, but was impressed both times. Portions are HUGE and prices are reasonable. You will have enough for a nice leftover meal after you finish dinner. The baby back ribs were recommended by our very... More

Phils Tavern is one of the local restaurants that is often missed by the occasional traveler that lands in the area. It is a mid-range place that often gets crowded by the locals. It is tight quarters but acceptable place. The food is incredible and that is why it gets packed. Recent visit my son had the lobster and prime... More

This place won't win any awards for decor or atmosphere, and it isn't a great family place either. So, why do I rate it a four? The wings are ribs here are really good. I went to college in upstate New York, and I know what good wings should be like. They should be big and meaty, super just-out-of-the-fryer crispy,... More

On Sunday evening my boyfriend and I came to Phil's to sit down and enjoy dinner together. We walked in the door and were greeted by a hostess from a stand tucked away to where I almost didn't see her. She grabbed 2 incredibly large menus and walked us threw the nice looking bar atmosphere that we generally enjoy and... More

Phil's is always a great stop for a drink (great bar!) or dinner with the family. I recently took some business colleagues there for drinks and dinner. Very nice!

I've been here several times over recent years and always had a good experience, even when the place was crowded. On a recent lunch visit, I encountered a very friendly atmosphere, efficient service, and an excellent sandwich from their extensive and imaginative sandwich menu. The menu here is practically book-length, with a long list of appetizers, sandwiches, salads and entrees.... More

A good place to meet friends for a cheeseburger or cheese steak. Their menu is huge but I prefer simplicity. I like the bar area rather than the tables in the various rooms. Decent service, decent food, good Southern Comfort Manhattans.

I met some friends at Plis' Tavern in Ambler, PA and couldn't have been more surprised. It was a nice environment, great service and the menu was outstanding. The food was delivered promptly by a sweet and kind server and it's a place where once done eating you can simply sit there and hang out, talk without being rushed out... More
