Where do you go in the 'burbs of northwest Philly for good Philly fare? Well, Phil's tavern, of course!! I love the steak, cheese steak or pizza steak sandwiches, mozzarella sticks and draft beer. It's comfort food and the environment has something for all, family restaurant on one side, bar on the other. It's been around for a long time... More

Phil's is a bustling tavern with a nice menu and good drinks. Had a drink at the bar while waiting for our table which wasn't long and it was a busy night. The food was very good, sandwiches, dinner entrees or salads to choose from. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. The crowd keeps coming back here!

The Steak and cheese had very little cheese and it was only at the bottom, pre-melted on the bread. The steak wasn't seasoned properly, there wasn't enough cheese and the bread wasn't soft like ti should have been. The fries were great, as was the service, but the sammies lacked. My friend got the chicken cheese and reported the same.... More

We have been enthusiastic patrons of Phil's for many years. The selection is enormous; we are amazed at the quantity and quality of the food that is produced in such a small kitchen. If you don't leave with a 'doggie bag' for the next day, you've probably eaten too much! Burgers, ribs, cheese steaks, huge salads, wraps, sandwiches and entrees... More

Always consistently decent food, comfortable atmosphere, wide array of food choices, prompt service, all at fair prices. Hard to beat unless you are seeking haute cousine.

Stopped here for dinner after a long day trip. Paper place mats on the table were wrinkled and dirty; they were quickly replaced when I pointed this out. Restaurant is famous for its barbecued ribs, which were delicious. Unfortunately our entrees were brought out before we had finished-in fact we had just started- our (tasteless) onion rings! The server took... More

Ribs, burgers, chilli, and a Nick's Wedge are our favorites. Drinks are reasonably priced and portions are huge without compromising quality.

My husband and I recently met friends for dinner on a Saturday night at Phil’s Tavern. Phil’s is “an institution” in the Blue Bell, PA area, but we hadn’t been there in years. They seem to be flourishing even without our business – extremely popular in fact, I was very glad I’d called ahead to make reservations! Their parking lot... More

Great neighborhood restaurant with plenty of choices for the family. The bar is lively with a mixed age crowd.

If you want a big drink and an even bigger meal, this is the place. The food is good and runs from bar snacks to full dinners. The drinks are large and you always feel welcome. This is a great spot.
