Before we called this a regular stop, we must have driven right by hundreds of times on the way to or from somewhere else. Often on the way to lunch or dinner, never even considering it an option. Once, very hungry - we decided to give it a try - and now we laugh about some of the unfamiliar "specials"... More

Have lunch for the first time and at first glance the prices were a step back in time. Just know that many things are a la carte. I had roast beef sandwich on toast and was offered Cole slaw (sure!) and French fries (sure!)...did not come with sandwich. Add on ice tea. Same thing with my husband's tiny hamburger. $21... More

We took friends for a drive around Lancaster co and were on our way to another restaurant when we passed by the Town Hall restaurant. I just finished reading about them in Philadelphia Magazine and quickly decided to try a meal here. Best decision in a while. Corn chicken pie was the special with two sides. I had fried chicken... We wanted a local experience while in the area and this was it. The place is small and basic. We arrived at 2pm, so we caught them short handed. They were still pretty quick with service considering there was one cook and one waitress and we were a group of 13. The food was really good, but the pie we... More

Family owned and run restaurant. I love how the children still let their dad be a part even though he can barely walk. So sweet to see the family working together. Great breakfast and wonderful people! Be prepared with cash or check! They don't accept cards.

We stopped in for lunch on a shopping trip. On entering the building (the fire hall) the entrance could use a good cleaning -- a little elbow grease would make this look much better. Inside the older tables and chairs are in decent but worn condition. The walls are faded and dirty and the ceiling tiles need cleaning or replacement.... More

That is exactly what you will find when stepping inside this Restaurant! I've been here twice for Lunch and both times my food was GOOD! The Restaurant was full of Local people enjoying themselves with plates piled high of homestyle cooking! You are greeted with a smile and it is easy to leave with a smile on your face. Prices... I too have passed by this restaurant many times on my way to Shady Maple. Today a friend of mine and I decided to stop in for breakfast. We thought we had stepped back in time to the 1950's. The look isn't by special design, it's just the way it is. There seemed to be original equipment and signage in... More

I have driven past this restaurant for 24 years on my way to Shady Maple, as I ferry visiting family and friends to the famous smorgasboard. I always wondered if the food was good because the parking lot was always full. After returning from a visit to the September Farms Cheese shop, we stopped here to eat because we were... More

Finding find places like Town Hall Restaurant when I travel across this country would be terrific. I crave honest restaurants like this. The casual dining chains full of cookie cutter sameness are boring, so I love that the Town Hall Restaurant is a one-of-a-kind. The food is excellent, as well as the attentive service. You won't find sandwiches that feature... More
