Good as ever

I grew up going to this restaurant and recently visited for the first time in a while. As good as ever! It is definitely a local venue. Good food, nice people. I had the beef pot pie which was full of good flavor (no salt or pepper needed!). My husband had the burger which he said was "typical". I... read more

We live in the area and I have been going here off and on since I was a child. They make good soups, but other than that every thing is either fried or drowned in butter. The lettuce in the salad is always brown, come on lettuce is cheap!!!!! If you complain about anything they get super defensive. Waitresses are... More

Three of use stopped here for breakfast before a day of shopping in the area. THe waitress was friendly and the food great. It may look like much on the outside, but you have to go in and have breakfast. You won't regret it.

If you are looking for a decent basic breakfast at a good price, this is the place. I would prefer to give it a 3.5 on the rating -- it's definitely above average but not quite very good because of the dining room. You walk into a very unpretentious dining room with a basic menu, definitely a family-run operation and... More

We happened upon this place in the spring, and have been looking for reasons to visit the area since. Great diner atmosphere with a superb waitstaff. Great, FRESH food at an extremely low price. We love to eat here!

Stopped here for breakfast and it did not disappoint! Unbeatable prices (A full breakfast + beverages for 2 people was about $12), great tasting food, and fast service. It looks to be a local/family owned business. Everything is cooked to order and comes out hot and fast. Definitely would recommend!

Inconspicuously tucked away, not in the town hall, but in a fire station along the division highway, this is the kind of place you don't easily find anywhere in the Northeast any more: an old-fashioned Mom-and-Pop diner where the food comes off a wide griddle at the back of the single room. Everything has a patina, from the well-worn chairs... More

Came here on a recommendation. We were looking for a quick good meal. The food was homemade and delicious. Is a family run place so everyone was very friendly. Our meal came out quickly. It is an older place but was clean.

From honey baked chicken to liver and onions, this little restaurant has a variety of meals that will satisfy any palate. It's in an old firehouse and the decor isn't fancy, but the food is good. It has some Amish side dishes that make the portions very satisfying.
