Had to go to Altoona on business. I got excited because I knew I could stop by Clem's on the way home. Hardwood Bar-B-Que. Mmmmm Good. They have been around for sometime. They have a new location now. Ribs, pulled pork, chicken, potato salad, pasta salad, corn on the cob, cole slaw. Great to go, but you can dine in.... More

Always busy but short waits. Food has flavor and is a good place to pick up dinner to go. Easy access of Rt 22E.

You can travel the world over and not find a better BBQ sauce... My favorite is the Pulled-Pork Sandwich with Boylan Orange Soda and be sure to buy a jar of Hardwood BBQ sauce to take home...

Its a roadside barbecue restaurant much like cafeteria style. No service at all. The ribs we had were ice cold but cookedcwell. The sauce on them was overwhelming and tasted just like Sweet Baby Rays. The potato salad tasted like it was just out of a container. Instead of napkin dispensers there's rolls of paper towels so when you need... More

Nice people, nice food. I would definitely go back again if I am ever in that neck of the woods in the future.

Stopped here with some very hungry family that were visiting and it turned out to be perfect. You place your order and get your food right when you walk in! No one left disappointed by the portion sizes or the quality of their food. The sauce is finger lickin' good! The price is just right, too. No complaints!

We stopped here after spending a couple hours looking for a new car in Blairsville. I would rate the place as average. At first we thought the line was for seating but it turned out just to be the line to order food. You walked to the counter, placed your order for ribs, chicken or whatever then some young kids... Yes, no frills. I have seen Service areas with more ambiance. Food was totally self serve, sides in tubs for you to pick up as you go to pay. None of the food was remarkable or particularly enjoyable. I thought is odd that on the wall by where you order they had a long list of instructions on how to... More

Definitely no frills—fine by me. Walk-up to order at the counter, pick any of the sides in their plastic containers from the open-air refrigerated area, get your drinks and pay. I ordered only a plate of Baby Back ribs, and they brought it right over as I was paying. I don't know how long it would take if there's a... More

It's average to below, but is about what you expect in these parts. The meat is often dry, the beans are blah, but the slaw is really good. I wouldn't go out of my away to go there but if you are close it might be worth a try, but don't plan on stopping too late because for some reason... More
