Farm To Table Since 1959. Amos, Ben, Manny and Elmer, are our Amish neighbors who supply us with sweet corn, tomatoes, watermelon, cabbage, broccoli, squash, peppers and onions, and have helped us go from "farm to table" for over 50 years. Plain & Fancy is home to Lancaster County PA's original Amish Farm Feast. This full course, pass-the-platter dinner includes appetizers, entrees, sides, breads, desserts and beverages. Love the restaurant

While it's not a five star place, it has very good food. We did the a la carte (Option #1), because the wait was shorter. We had the fried chicken, sausage platter, chicken pot pie and roast beef platter. Can't complain really, except for the mashed potatoes which did taste rather peculiar. Also... read more

Since the restaurant is adjacent to the hotel we stayed at, we ate there a few times. The service was great but the food was just average as compared to other restaurants in the srea. Don't be afraid of going out and finding alternate restaurants to dine at. We found one that was very superior to the Plain & Fancy.... More

We loved everything! We sat family style with another family and felt relaxed. For $20 adults can enjoy the feast of unlimited food- sausage, fried chicken, pot pie, beef, vegetables, salad, chow chow, breads, pies, ice cream, and cake. I know I'm forgetting something but take my word everything was amazing. The other good thing about family style is the waitresses bring... More

Husband had the meatloaf and I had the fried chicken. The noodles with brown butter were very good. Homemade ice cream for dessert. Yum

We stopped here for lunch during a quick drive thru Amish country. The atmosphere was very niche and the staff was friendly. The smell of cooking when we entered made me drool. I had the daily special of a chicken salad wrap and my wife had the layered ham club on marble rye. Both were excellent and the prices were... More

we did the ala carte menu - nothing particularly stood out. My husband had a combo meal & was not impressed. I had the roast beef which was ok. I was told that the pepper cabbage was good. It was way too sweet for me - it's what you would expect cole slaw to be but much much sweeter. Their... More

Plain and Fancy could be a really neat experience. We ate dinner there and chose the option where you pay $20 to try a bunch of different foods, family style with others also dining. It was slow, so we only got to sit with one couple. Would have liked to sit with a larger group. The food was good but... More

First time to dine at this place on May 10th, 2015 on the occasion of Mother's Day. Were not aware that Reservations are encouraged if trying the Buffet (Option 2), so we had an easier choice of selecting Order from Menu (Option 1) since there's no wait time. The dining area is very nice, welcoming and gives that air of... More

We live only 10 minutes away, and decided to stop in to have a quick dinner on a Friday evening. It gets busy in the summer with tourists, and although it was busy, it wasn't packed which was nice. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of fries and my husband had the fried chicken platter. The food... More
