Farm To Table Since 1959. Amos, Ben, Manny and Elmer, are our Amish neighbors who supply us with sweet corn, tomatoes, watermelon, cabbage, broccoli, squash, peppers and onions, and have helped us go from "farm to table" for over 50 years. Plain & Fancy is home to Lancaster County PA's original Amish Farm Feast. This full course, pass-the-platter dinner includes appetizers, entrees, sides, breads, desserts and beverages. Or, sit at your own private table and select from our a la carte menu.

I haven't been this disappointed in a long, long time! We were there in the middle of the week in the middle of the day. Not a busy time and after waiting over 20 min to get seated saw there were only 2 other tables occupied. We never determined why we had to wait. Our waitress was not very... read more

Mr neighbor and I went on a church bus trip to the Millenium Theater and before going to the show we went to Plain and Fancy. It was very good but the food was removed quickly but that might have been so we could see the show on time. Food was excellent!

On a recent trip to the Lancaster area, our multi-generational group (1 1/2 to 82) planned to come to dinner at Plain and Fancy. Several of us have been to the restaurant before which is why we were confident this was the place to bring a family group. The menu is set. You pay 1 price for the family style... More

We ate here after a tour of Amish country and the School House and Home on property. It was family style which included coleslaw, raisin bread, rolls, roast beef, ham, mashed potatoes, mixed veg and corn, gravy, applesauce, coffee, tea (hot and cold), lemonade, and a variety of desserts, vanilla ice cream, chocolate cake, apple blossom and shoe fly pie.... Thank you for your review. We’re happy to hear, after an eventful day, you were able to enjoy a good meal with us. Our family style dining is a great option to try items that are typical of the Pennsylvania Dutch and make some new friends along the way. Thanks for visiting us and pleasant travels. More

After so many recommendations for this restaurant, we visited over the summer. When another opportunity to visit PA arose, we made sure to once again visit Plain & Fancy for a meal. I made reservations well in advance (though I think we'd have been okay making them closer) just to ensure that we had the family style meal. This was... More

Thanks so much for your great review Bridget. Sounds like you and your family had a great time. I agree with 4 starters, 4 meats and 4 sides it’s really hard to leave room for all the dessert choices. I especially like the warm shoofly pie with vanilla ice cream on top, a Lancaster County favorite. Hope you visit us... More

This is a perfect place to go if you are very hungry. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. She made sure that we had plenty of food all the time. We had The Amish Farm Feast which was a great deal because you get to try various dishes (e.g. fried chicken, sausages, vegetables, roast beef, salads, breads, etc). The... More

I made reservations on the phone with a very nice gentleman for a group of 18. I checked in with the receptionist when about half of our group was there, the rest were moments behind coming from a show. She told me we would have two tables of nine. I asked her why. She said they didn't have table to... More

Great food, great service, great price! The family-style service was especially unique. We enjoyed the salad with Vidalia Onion dressing, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, fresh mixed vegetables, and apple crisp. There was a 15% discount because we stayed at the Amish View Inn. And the adjoining store has home-made items of all kinds!

Absolutely no cause for any complaint for the price we are charged. We chose from the menu. The fried chicken was as delicious as they could come but the roast beef could have been better with a bit of gravy. Service was average but we didn t expect much attention as we are not after fine dining service but decent... More
