Farm To Table Since 1959. Amos, Ben, Manny and Elmer, are our Amish neighbors who supply us with sweet corn, tomatoes, watermelon, cabbage, broccoli, squash, peppers and onions, and have helped us go from "farm to table" for over 50 years. Plain & Fancy is home to Lancaster County PA's original Amish Farm Feast. This full course, pass-the-platter dinner includes appetizers, entrees, sides, breads, desserts and beverages. An enjoyable meal

I knew going in that this was family style so I was looking forward to it. We had to wait about 45 minutes to be seated but I didn't mind. Once seated, you find yourself typically with 2 or 3 other groups so if you don't mind meeting and eating with strangers, you'll be fine. The food comes out... read more

After a HORRIBLE experience at the Olde Mill in Intercourse we drove over to the Plain and Fancy Farm Restaurant. Prior to entering we walked around the replica Amish House and toured the garden. It was a nice transition after a very long ride from Richmond, VA. A very friendly kitten followed us as we toured the grounds. We left... More

This was very disappointing to me I thought I would have gotten to have an Amish dining experience. There was nothing authentic about it we had the ala carte menu for $20 which we had to share with people we didn't know the mashed potatoes were instant fried chicken was the only decent thing but was sub-par at best. The... More

Visited Plain & Fancy for family style Amish dinner. Tourist trap, yes. But still well worth it. The food was very good, and young children eat free! Staff is super friendly, and the wait for food is perfect - not too fast or too slow between courses. The atmosphere was really cool. Nice to sit down with people you don't... More

I have eaten here about 6 times. This was probably my least favorite visit to this restaurant. We ordered unsweetened ice tea, and it was not good, tasted like a plastic container. The fried chicken, which I dream of all day- was dark and looked refried from lunch time. I would not recommend this as a great place to eat... More

We ate here our first night in town. We stayed in Intercourse so this was not very far away. They offer two styles of dining. The family style offered a long table sitting w/others who had also chosen that style. There was a choice of meats, several veggies, &, of course, dessert. The other was in a separate area w/... Best fried chicken ever. We chose the aka carte menu. The food and service was excellent. This is a nice place to eat with the family.

good food, but we were seated alone at a long table. We were the only ones that were alone. All other diners were placed with other people. Didn't understand this.

Best fried chicken I have ever eaten. Aside from the chicken the menu is quite vast. Lots of choice even for vegetarians. Service is all with a smile and the "Amish" food served up by the "English" is a total treat. Great desserts, too. Don't miss the shoo fly pie!

Our entire family had dinner here upon recommendation of the staff of our hotel. We were two adults, with our two children and four grandchildren, ages 4-9. The friendly waitress explained it would be 90 cents per child and $20 per adult to opt for the buffet dinner. We all chose to do so. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. There... More
