Relaxing and yummy

We really enjoyed this restaurant. We did the a la carte side. We had the fried chicken and chicken pot pie both were good.

Just had a delicious, enjoyable dinner at Plain & Fancy! After a long day of shopping on our Mom/Daughter vacation we decided to try the a la carte menu at this restaurant, on site at our hotel (Amish View Inn & Suites). I'm always scared that family restaurants will be loud, messy and not enjoyable. This one happily proved me... More

We ate lunch here and it was amazing! We chose to eat family style and ate with very lovely family. The food was great and very tasty. Would eat here again when we return.

We ate here once, for lunch when we first arrived and never went back. Very basic selection, quality is average at best. So many places to eat that are much better than this establishment. If we find ourselves in the Lancaster area, we would not eat here at all. Services and staff were wonderful and friendly, place is clean but... More

We went here to eat the night we arrived. The hostess who received us was not welcoming. In fact it almost seemed like we were not welcome to eat there. We were confused thinking perhaps the restaurant was close for meals? Further patient inquiry indicated that we could indeed eat here and the table would be ready in a little... More

This was the best fried chicken I have ever ate. Everything was fresh and so tasty. Didn't want it to end. We met some very interesting people at our table. We laughed and talked like we had known each other forever. waiter was awesome made sure our bowl of delicious food never was empty long. Can't wait til I go... More

We've been coming to Lancaster for years. I've been coming since I was a little boy. Have been to Plain & Fancy as a young man and most recently, this past weekend. To be honest, it's changed quite a bit. It seemed to lose the quaintness and authenticity I remember. On a positive note, I will say it was reasonably... More

Good food and shopping inside. You have a choice of buffet dining or choosing from the menu. Two different sides for seating.

I took my two children here for lunch while driving through Amish country. The gift shop was so-so, not enough traditional Amish goods and lots of stuff you might find at any tourist stop. The wait for lunch was reasonable and our server was lovely. My kids had the hot dogs (can't go wrong there), and I had the chicken... More

Great food ,nice surroundings, friendly staff. Great price! We got the menu food but they have a buffet which is very good too. We thought the buffet was more food than we needed. We were quite satisfied. Came with entree, sides, and dessert of your choice. Got the shoofly pie. Wonderful, all of it.
