4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2014 NEW

First, I give five-star reviews to restaurants that exhibit not only excellent food and service, but also great value. The Buffet was a few cents short of $20 per person. I find this reasonable and average, but not "great" value. That being said, the.food.is.awesome. It is what one thinks of when they think "Amish"--minus the chicken pot pie. I was... More

This is my go to place whenever we are in Amish country. It's a family style dinner which means that they put you at a very long table with other families. The food is placed on the tables by servers dressed in traditional Amish garb and then everyones starts passing the dishes over after they have taken their share. Not... More

Sitting at a large table with other people from all around the USA. Home style Amish cooking at it best. If you go away hungry, it's your own fault.

I preferred this buffet over Miller's. The deserts were better, and there was more variety for kids too. Kids under four eat for free and they have a kid section with food for them or they can eat off of the adult buffet too. Liked their lemon pie and cobbler was good. Beef station was too rare could not eat... More

Wonderful variety of food. Please try something new...the ham balls were great and oh...the desserts ! We were with a tour group so I am not sure what the price was. Our drinks were brought to the table.

The Family Restaurant has the best food, greatest variety, all freshly made - the best recipes from the Smucker Family! You will not find any other meals as good as you get here! Breakfast is a fantastic buffet with their own homemade egg casserole along with their famous baked French toast. The lunch and dinner buffets are out of this... More

If you are in the Lancaster pa area this is a restaurant you should not miss stopping at. Their meals are plentiful and great tasting. Their buffet has many good choices too. The service is very good as well. Expect to wait to be seated as it gets crowded but worth the wait.

We ate here for lunch and breakfast several times. Plenty of choices - tasty soups, breads and entrees. AND exceptional desserts.

We eat here every time we go to the Amish country which is a couple of times a year. November was no exception. We always ask for table 7. It seats four and is by itself with no one around. Our server, Anita, was personable and very attentive. Food as usual was great. We went on Friday so I can... More
