We stopped in the quaint town of Bedford while crossing Pennsylvania on the turnpike and found the Great Harvest to be a perfect place for lunch. I am not vegan but the delicious pumpkin soup was, and the grilled sandwiches were delicious and unusual combinations, e.g., roast beef with blackberry jam. Our waitress was very attentive. We plan to go... More

My husband and I took the day to just browse the town of Bedford and stopped at the Green Harvest for a light lunch. My husband had the "Corned Blue" Ciabatta Griller and I the Greek salad. Both were excellent!!! Everything was made with fresh ingredients and was very well prepared. If you love iced tea, they offer many flavors.... More

Went during a stay at Bedford Springs. Breakfast was well done. Good, fresh food. But the highlight was the scones we took home - they are wonderful. Don't miss the coconut and mango or the pineapple. More

Saw the building and business was for sale. Whoever buys this place please don't change anything food-wise. Sunday brunch would be a good... More

Upon arriving for the beginning of our touring Bedford County during the weekend of August 15, 2009, the family needed breakfast to start the day's activities. This cafe, speciality food shop, bakery and coffee house is a keeper. The coffee was good, but it was not Starbucks. One of the breakfast items ordered was a Southwest Burrito. A warm flour... More

We spotted this cafe in the Bedford Town Guide and made a beeline for it for breakfast after a particularly bad night in a local motel. Staff were really nice and after a number of highly priced, artificial and small breakfasts experienced during the holiday, this was a breath of fresh air. Cant recommend it enough - returned the next... More
