Slightly more relaxed atmosphere in this grand old hotel, than the Crystal Dining Room, but still wonderful food and service.

En route on the turnpike, we decided to check out the resort and have lunch. Party of 2. The hostess asked if we'd like comfy chairs or regular so I picked 'comfy'. Comfy, much worn, leather wing chairs with a small table near the windows was a great venue for a light lunch. Service was attentive. professional, and friendly. We... More

Friendly service. A nice menu selection for lunch or just a snack. Good size portions and warm cozy atmosphere. The bar had everything you would like.

It was easy to run up a bill with drinks and some appetizers here. Small space but some tables have big lounge chairs and there were a lot of wait staff attentive to the customers.

The food at the Frontier Tavern was very good. We ate here two nights in a row as we did not feel like taking our kids to 1796. I had the lobster Mac and Cheese which was very good but so rich I could not eat very much of it. It would be a good item to order and share... More

We've enjoyed the tavern on each of our many visits over the past three years. Unfortunately, last night we were quite disappointed by the menu and service. The menu was quite limited not only for us but our children as well. The meatloaf sandwich that used to be on the menu needs to return!! The chicken wings were impossible to... More

We ate here three times during a recent stay in Bedford Springs. The menu is fairly limited. Service was spotty, ranging from pretty good to fairly incompetent. The best thing is the physical layout, which is very cool. Small bar with interesting drinks.

My husband can't stop talking about the cheese plate. Service was excellent. We got to sit on the comfy couch area which was perfect for the three kids. Fries are great. Mushroom soup and tomato bisque were delicious.

Eating vegetarian, I enjoyed the thick mushroom soup, and the black bean burger. My husband liked the chili which is listed as an appetizer, but is really a meal. He especially liked shoe-fly pie, which isn't available at many restaurants. The fish and chips was a good presentation at another meal. About half of the customers at lunch were staying... More

We were here as part of a large group in one of the side rooms. The food was delicious and I would rate it highly, but the service was slow and inattentive, and they added 21% auto gratuity. We had a great time, but it was more the company than anything.
