Great Lunch Date

I just finished lunch with a colleague on the outside deck. The venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. I had the special, a reuben, that should be added to the menu. However, I was most impressed with my waitress Brooke who I noticed was extremely busy. She was waiting on people both... read more

This is a historical "haunted" inn/tavern/restaurant we stopped at on the way to Gettysburg. It is expensive for what you get and the food is average. It seems to get a lot of attention on the highway, but I wouldn't do it again to eat.

This place was awesome. Delicious food and a bit of a history lesson all in one. Toured the rooms for the bed-n-breakfast.... tastely decorated. I had a bison burger and it was delicious. would eat here again.

I'm giving this establishment a three out of five solely based on their service. If I were to only rate their food, I'd give it five stars. Our waitress was Sara. The only reason we knew her name was because the hostess told us. She did not introduce herself. Her first words to us were 'do you want something to... More

On an extremely hot day, ate in the basement section, so cool, loved the colonial stone work. The blueberry, shrimp salad with citrus dressing was so good on a hot day! Our waitress so friendly, brought drink refills with out being asked to do so. They found out it was my birthday and I got a free dessert, peanut butter... More

I love this place. The rooms are lovely. The food is great. And the gift shop is really awesome. I love the goats. The location is slightly unfortunate.

Have been here numerous times traveling through and always enjoy the food. Very nice al fresco dining area as well as an inviting interior. Everything from the appetizers to the steaks have been great and they offer a really nice selection of beer on tap. The wait staff is a bit slow at times and your check will be more... More

Every year we come here while staying at the Omni Resort in Bedford Springs. For appetizer: we had the potato crisps~excellent! My husband had Prime Rib steak and I had the Jean Bonnet French Dip sandwich! Our daughter had sweet and tangy wings-also excellent!!!!!! You can't go wrong at Jean Bonnet! Service is excellent as well!

Great service and atmosphere. Even better corn crab chowder! After getting the chowder and seeing how much crab was in it, I wished I'd ordered the crab dip!

We came to Jean Bonnet Tavern to have a small, family celebration of a 50th wedding anniversary and we could not have thought of a better choice. Conveniently located to Altoona and for those traveling in from Pittsburgh it was the ideal location to meet and enjoy a nice atmosphere and good food and company. The menu selections from appetizer... More
