The whole experience at the Jean Bonnet was wonderful, from the 1700's construction to the appetizers and the main courses. We don't get there often enough but the experience is very special when we do. Food and prices were great and the ambiance is terrific.

Nice, historic atmosphere. We enjoyed the Bison burgers which were very good. Also enjoyed the crab and corn chowder. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Recommend reservations as we had to wait about 30 minutes since we did not have reservations. Worth the wait. Will return when we are back in the Bedford area.

On our road trip to Virginia Beach we saw this place and decided to give it a try. It was fantastic! Definitely worth the little drive off the highway.

This is such a lovely, historic place. We have enjoyed dinner here the past two summers. It would definitely be a 5-star if the service was not so slow, and if my friend's dinner did not have to be sent back because it was cold. Both of these are issues that management should clear up. That is the bad news.... More

Enjoyed a great family lunch in the historic setting. We had a diverse group and tastes, but everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Nice little gift shop adjacent to the restaurant. Good food in a unique setting makes this place a winner.

The hotel sent us to this historic tavern. The atmosphere was great. The staff was great and the food was unexpectedly first rate. Everything was fresh served hot, and nicely presented. When traveling out that way, we will make it a regular stop.

Service can be a little slow, and food is good but not gourmet pub fare. But we love this place! Great ambiance, roaring fires in the big stone fireplace in the winter. Very cozy. Nice outdoor patio in warmer weather--although the road noise may convince you to eat inside. Love the history of the place. The little gift shop is... More

I decided to go here after all the good reviews. The dining room is dimly lit. I ordered the salmon with shrimp and crab sauce. The salmon came out looking like a brown blob. It was covered in the biege sauce. It did not look appealing but looks can be decieving. It was very tasty. the salmon was cooked perfectly.... More

While waiting for our relatives to show up we walked the grounds of the restaurant. Beside the herb garden that the kitchen uses were goats in a pen. The grounds are well kept and they have a small building with a gift shop. The restaurant is in a beautiful old stone and hand hewn log building. The downstairs is a... More

We have ate here a few times now and always enjoy the food and staff. The lobster mac and cheese is amazing. They are a gem in the app mountains of PA. When we fo to Bedford, we go to the Jean Bonnet!
