Nice Neighborhood Restaurant

A huge menu reasonably priced, large quantity of food., nicely presented. Lunch specials are the way to go. We had a lovely lunch with seven friends and we all took food home with us. Food arrived quickly but we were not rushed and enjoyed chatting after the bill was paid. Will go again.

My daughter loves the Habachi at Shangri la and a number of months ago we went and a bug/roach ran across the grill (before It was on). We stayed away for awhile came back and last night once again we had company on the grill. Hard pressed to ever go back.

This is a good place to get Asian food in a nice area of restaurants. I had the duck spring roll appetizer, which is accompanied by an amazing sauce. You should definitely try it! For the entree, I had the orange chicken. It is a really big portion, evidenced by the fact that I had to take some home. It... More

There are no surprises here -- food is exactly what you might expect in a neighborhood chinese restaurant. That is a compliment, since chinese food can be really bad. I like going here with my family for a quiet and fast, tasty meal.

We have visited this restaurant 3 times in the past year. Our children like the hibachi style and sushi, so when my son asked for his birthday to go to a "cook in front of you" place, we choose Shangri-la based on reasonable experiences in the past and a lack of good alternatives in the area. Unfortunately, we will not... More

I find Shangri La to be pretty consistent, but average. The maki rolls are good, but just what you should expect from any standard Japanese restaurant.

This is a restaurant in my neighborhood, a cut above many of the near Main Line Chinese eateries nearby. It serves both Chinese and Japanese cuisines at its regular tables. Its Japanese component includes a separate room in which fine teppanyaki (hot table) style food is served (like Benihana). Its teppanyaki cooking is as good as any I have eaten.... More

I have had many meals with friends and family at this local Chinese and Japanese restaurant and have enjoyed all. My take-out experience, however, has varied greatly and I would suggest eating in. It's not that take out is bad, it's just not as good (or as consistent) as dining in. The menu has a broad array of Japanese and... More
