We've been lucky enough to have sampled Blythe's baking (and experienced her beautiful old English heirloom roses) for around four or five years now, starting with her small table at the Sunday Yachats Farmer's Market. Blythe is an amazing, talented and artistic baker. She uses puff pastry in several of her creations, and we are always oohing and aahing at... More

The scones and croissants are very good. Wish this place was open during the week while we were in town.

Blythe makes all her bread & desserts using the best ingredients. Casual place across from the commons so you could catch a matinee or perhaps the Sunday Farmers market before having a sandwich & dessert there.

This is a shout out to a very kind employee. We showed up at Bread and Roses past closing time. She was leaving after apparently locking up and had a bag of leftover pastries. She was kind enough to share a couple with us and would not take any payment. Quite a goodwill ambassador for Yachats. We never got her... More

Wherever your destination is, make sure that Bread & Roses is included in your itinerary. I think it's only open Friday-Monday, starting at 830am. We got there on a Friday morning at 830 and all the displays of fresh baked goods were starting to line up along the counter. They kept bringing out one after another. There were too many... More

What's not to like? My Americano was expertly crafted. Not a bitter note at all. Difficult pastry choices abound. My choices were oh so yummy. Art on the wall, fresh flowers on the tables, friendly and kind staff, bright and cheerful setting. Wish we could go back.

I stumbled across Bread & Roses while spending a weekend driving the coast. It was delightful. The owners are friendly and ever so helpful. The pastries were so ridiculously good that I drove away and then drove back to get more to take to a friends house in Newport. When I drove back- I noticed the used store in the... More

I had a pizza for lunch and it was yummy. Fresh ingredients and delicious crust. Also tried a taste of their very different version of clam chowder. It is made with a broth and is nicely spiced. No heavy cream sauce, which helped the clam and spice flavors star. It's a cute little place and comfortable. Managed to resist the... More

There was only one kind of bread available that day, at noon. It was very good, made with a little bit of "yachatian Culture" as the baker described it. A hearty bread with a little bit of everything, it was very, very good. We took it home to have with our crab dinner. Everyone loved it. We also had a... More

Stopped here for a light lunch after a long morning of hiking. This is a small, charming bakery with a variety of baked goods as well as a short menu of (delicious) home made lunches. We had a root vegetable pasty, and a bowl of the black bean vegetarian chili. Both were delicious, and clearly made with healthy, fresh ingredients.... More
