Literally a couple of boats this place would rate a stop even without the great food. The boats, one completely enclosed and warm in winter and another with outdoor seating for better weather, provide the ambiance. Food is seafood and trimmings, fries, sweet potato fries and slaw that is the best that you will ever find at a casual seafood... More

We have enjoyed Cassie's little floating cafe ambiance for many years. Her legacy of good food, reasonably priced and politely served, lives on though she now spends her time in Coos Bay at her Blue Heron. Thank you again pretty Cassie, though we missed your personal touch. Still gave you a link on latest trip story. Blogengeezer at Daflikkers.blogspot.com/

We asked at our motel for a dinner recommendation and boy are we pleased we did! We arrived just after 7pm and it was perfect timing to watch the sun set over the marina. We sat outside to make the most of the view and were rewarded not only with a gorgeous sunset but two seals popped by as well!... More

Eaten here every time we are here. Good food and beautiful setting. Brought the grandkids this time and they loved it. They thought this was their best meal EVER. That's saying something. Service is always top notch. We will keep coming back.

Fantastic fish and chips, great service! We went a couple of times while we were in Reedsport. I have asked for the recipe for the fish and the slaw and was shot down both times! So good, go at the beginning of your trip in case you would want to go again!

Just an ok place to eat. No complaints about the food. It was pretty decent but nothing to rave about. The service and the view made it worth the stop.

The day before we left the coast, after ordering fresh oysters down the bay, we happened to give Unger's a try. Wow. The fish and chips were delicious. Staff both the cook and wait staff were very pleasant and friendly. Loved the ambience on little floating fish n chip shake. We should have found this place earlier. Chowder was a... More

The clam chowder and fish and chips were very good and unique. Service was friendly and excellent! Reasonable prices too for what you will find on the Oregon coast.

Unger's is on the bay in a small floating boat. My boyfriend had been there before, but this was my first time. He had fish & chips which he loved. I can't have wheat or fried food so I had delicious grilled halibut with yummy French fries. We also had some of their excellent coleslaw. The service was excellent and... More

This was our third resto try in the little community of Winchester Bay and the best meal by far. The place is small, it's floating, and you might end up eating outside, or in a little remote shed 15' from the main dining room but it's definitely worth a stop! The main part of the resto only has about 6... More
