The clam chowder and fish and chips were very good and unique. Service was friendly and excellent! Reasonable prices too for what you will find on the Oregon coast.

Unger's is on the bay in a small floating boat. My boyfriend had been there before, but this was my first time. He had fish & chips which he loved. I can't have wheat or fried food so I had delicious grilled halibut with yummy French fries. We also had some of their excellent coleslaw. The service was excellent and... More

This was our third resto try in the little community of Winchester Bay and the best meal by far. The place is small, it's floating, and you might end up eating outside, or in a little remote shed 15' from the main dining room but it's definitely worth a stop! The main part of the resto only has about 6... More

It doesn't look like much, a small building on the end of a dock. You go in and the aromas are fabulous. The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the fish and chips and my husband ordered the captains platter. The fish was lightly battered and flakey. Very good fries. The portions were generous and prices were reasonable. Definitely... More

on the oregon coast. the herbs/spices they use in the batter on the fish is wonderful. we've tried many places up and down the oregon coast...unger's is still my favorite. substitute sweet potato fries for the regular fries and it's the perfect meal. you can eat inside (4 tables) or outside, or in their annex building - it all floats... Ungers: My favorite place to eat in Oregon. I would make the journey from just about anywhere to eat their cod fish and chips!! We were fishing in the area for three days andthereby Ungers twice. Do not miss the awesome food. And, how can you beat the fun atmosphere - a floating restaurant right on the dock? It's a... More

A Park Ranger told us about this very cool looking floating restaurant. Positives-They have a few different options for sitting- open space as well as two closed spaces, one attached to the kitchen. Service- everyone associated with the restaurant were friendly and we got our order promptly. Negatives- basically, the food was ordinary. I ordered grilled fish and it had... More

We ordered the Alaskan cod fish and chips, the coleslaw + dessert add on for $2.99 and a bowl of clam chowder. Fish was good, four stars, batter good, fries greasy, clam chowder was good, but not awesome. Try the Krab Kettle in Florence for great clam chowder. The coleslaw and dessert add on was a gyp, one star. The... More
