Sandbar is situated on the beach in Sandy Ground, one of the most charming fishing villages in the Caribbean and the "sea and sand" theme of the bar envelopes you as you enter. Lots of natural light, unobstructed views of Road Bay with its myriad boats at anchor - coupled with an abundance of trade breezes make this a cool and comfortable spot to enjoy drinks, or dinner. Dining and seating is available inside and also outside on a terrace perfect for watching the sun go down

Nice Place for Tapas

My husband and I dined here in January. We love tapas and so try to seek them out when we travel. SandBar did not disappoint. We order 4 tapas for the two of us and it was more than enough for dinner. The spicy edamame were a bit too spicy for me, but my husband gobbled them up. As many... read more

The new owners have kept the tapas menu concept except they provide more food per plate! The food is still good but not quite as unique as the previous owners. The location is still beautiful and it's a fun place to have a casual, nice dinner without doing the "fine dining" routine.

We went with another couple and really enjoyed it. We ordered 2 tapas and then once they were shared and finished we would order 2 more. This made for a fun evening. We really enjoyed the shoestring zucchini with almonds. It is a great dish. The lettuce wedge is also very good. We tried the ribs but they have a... More

This a tapas bar located right on Sandy Ground – we were seated right on the edge of the deck with nothing between us and the water but sand! It is a great location. Tapas we tried were: Skirt steak w/chimichurri – we usually avoid meat in the islands, but this was excellent with a nice char and wonderful sauce;... More

Went here during August Monday/Carnival. Had a great time, stayed and had rum punches for a few hours watching the goings on.

Perfect for a break from full dinners. Tuna poke different and great. Mahdi Mahi bites sinful. Nice wedge salad. Tamarind wings were the low point of the menu- needs more taste - sauce seemed to be out of a bottle. Nice atmosphere. Go there!

What a great place! One of the best places to eat on our vacation to Anguilla, if not the best. Our family of eight ordered a variety of tapas and each one was terrific. The service was friendly and very accommodating. We have a family member that is diabetic and the chef prepared his food special. This is a must... More

Visited Sandbar again this year and found the food, ambiance and service to be consistent with last year - super! For a night in Anguilla where a large dinner not in the stars, go to Sandbar! Delicious small plates (seared tuna over wasabi slaw, mussels in coconut curry, arugula, watermelon, feta salad) - tasty! Great cocktails & wine list (short... More

This was my favorite meal of the entire trip. My wife and I enjoyed every plate we ordered beginning with the arugula watermelon salad, then the prawns, the mahi Diavolo, and the zucchini. The owner, Alicia Banks, greeted us when we walked in and stopped by our table to talk to us. She was very nice and our server was... More

If you have left AXA without dining at SandBar or you bolted before tasting their A PLUS cocktails .. my friends you made a huge mistake. Anguilla is an Island of eat, drinks and sun and SandBar hits is on all 8 cylinders. Ask for Vanessa one of the servers who knows the menu spot on. Darren and Alicia the... More
