Loved Veya

Veya was a great dining experience. The ambience is great. You feel as though your in a tree house. The foliage is beautiful, the service is great and the food was fabulous!

This our 2 nd visit to Veya. First let me explain my low rating for atmosphere. It is a quaint lovely setting but OPPRESSIVELY HOT. Like many other restaurants on the island with nice breezes Veya has no breeze, fans are ineffectual, and couple that with the Indian and Moroccan spices and wine and you will be dripping wet by... I admit upfront that I'm a type A restaurant person with overly high expectations. From reading the reviews, I expected a 5 star gourmet meal and this was not that. It happened to be the best meal we'd eaten in our first few days in Anguilla, but the competition so far hasn't been too sharp. This was a good meal... More

This was hands down our favorite meal on Anguilla. Atmosphere was different- like dining in a treehouse. Service was terrific- our waiter went above and beyond to satisfy a dessert request. But, most importantly, the food was spectacular! Started with the shrimp cigars, followed by butter poached lobster and finished with the coconut cake. That lobster is the best I... More

We ate at several great restaurants on the island, but this place was tops. It is in a terrific setting outside. The food choices on the menu were very creative. Even the bread plate was creative. They brought Johnny Cakes, pumpkin bread and banana bread. Wow! We also each received a conch fritter. For appetizers we had carpaccio of conch... More

Wife and I enjoyed a fantastic meal at Veya. We ordered the shrimp cigars, steak lettuce wraps, a moroccan spiced steak and the butter poached lobster with spinach risotto and had the coconut cake with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. Every dish we had was truly amazing. The service was perfect and we were entertained by Omari Banks performing... More

My husband and I just spent a glorious week in Anguilla and ate at some fabulous restaurants in picture perfect settings. However, Veya was my absolute favorite! Granted it is not on the water like most, but the quaint tree house setting is perfect. We walked in to live music and were greeted immediately by a very friendly staff. To... More

Although not a seaside restaurant, this place deserves it's current #1 rating with excellent food, a unique setting in the trees, live music, and terrific food. If you have limited dining time in Anguilla, make this a "must do". Before we received our ordered appetizer, we were served two small complimentary conch fritters. Perfectly prepared...hot, and left us wanting for... More

Eating at Veya is like dining in a tree house. What a unique setting. The food is outstanding, from shrimp cigars, to grilled snapper that was heavenly, grilled shrimp with a coconut curry sauce to the super coconut cake. Omari Banks performing made it a special evening. Worth the trip when you are in Anguill and worth revisiting on return... More
