Stopped here with a group on the way to Portland for lunch. Headed to eat in the bar to watch football, restaurant was packed. Two servers approached immediately to let us know there had been an electrical fire and all tickets had to be done by hand. There were very concerned about letting us know that which was nice. We... We stopped at the Barlow Trail Roadhouse on the way back to Portland, Oregon after being in Central Oregon for the weekend. We have passed by this place numerous times without stopping and I am not sure why we didn't stop here sooner. The restaurant was having a chicken dinner special which was half a fried chicken dinner with all... More

We enjoyed our burgers. They were done well and were generous portions. Their coleslaw was good. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very welcoming. The prices were reasonable.

The majority of the people in our group prefer to eat at a 24 hour restaurant in Government Camp as it is closer, we however will never spend another dollar in that establishment. So, we drive the extra few miles to head to BTR, and it... More

The best homemade Sour dough biscuits you will feast on. A hearty breakfast if you are hungry, real Ham, which is rare!

The Barlow Trail Roadhouse in Welches was our choice for breakfast, and a good choice it was. We loved the building on the outside - a log-cabin style lodge building - and the inside is equally rustic and charming. We asked the waitress about the balcony above with a door - did the door actually go anywhere, or was it... More

Beautiful rustic log cabin with a diverse menu. We had the halibut with slaw and fries. The food was expertly cooked, not greasy and just the size for lunch. Our awesome waitress suggested the "Fried Pie" for dessert. The turnover was big enough for three people and served a la mode. The taste was extraordinary and the waitress wouldn't discuss... More
