My wife and I celebrated our 35th Wedding Anniversary here with a great dinner. I had their grill dry aged New York steak with an oregonzola blue potato cake, braised greens, and mushroom marsala. OUTSTANDING! Well worth the $38 price, and I'm one who normally baulks at steaks costing $25. My wife had their Cioppino, a seafood stew with fresh... More

We go to this restaurant frequently for breakfast, their prices are good and the food is pretty consistent. However, it seems the trend in eating establishments is to leave the ceilings open decorated with a coat of paint. The results are that it is almost impossible to carry on a conversation when you are in a room with 50-60 people,... More

My friend & I visited for a happy hour we shared the pulled boar sliders (dry jack cheese, apple slaw & grainy mustard dressing) and pumpkin ravioli (brown butter, sage, pecorino, hazelnuts) and of course several glasses of fine wine. The food was wonderful! I will definitely return the next time I am in Oregon – wish I could fly... More

This entire huge complex was the Poor Farm in an earlier life! The historical vibe of the place is incredible. Take time and walk around the complex, known as Edgefield, so you can discover all the nooks and crannies -- downstairs billiard room, hidden wine-tasting bar, tiny buildings that house artisans, tea-house, garden, golf, hotel upstairs where the dormatories were...the... I have taken many friends here for breakfast, lunch and dinner have never been disappointed. Some of our friends are vegetarians and have no problem finding things they can eat. I have a habit of asking them to substitute fruit for hash browns, (if you want fried potatoes or hash browns you can ask for either) and they will do... More

We eat here frequently for breakfasts. The food is always well prepared and fresh. I highly recommend the Terminator toast. The staff is friendly and very amenable to tweaking the menu for us. Allow time to wander the grounds of this location. The gardens are amazing and a good place to walk off the full breakfast before heading home.

The Black Rabbit is located on the "campus" of McMenamins Edgefield property. It was the first visit for my wife, second for me. We made sure we had an hour or more just to tour the property before our dinner. Spent some time in the winery as well as viewing the grounds. It's a bit of history at the museum... More

Breakfast was good but the service was slow and the food a bit overpriced. Loved the atmosphere so it made it worth it for me but not my husband.

We stopped off here for lunch while taking a tour of the waterfalls. The food was great and tasty. Wish we had time for a wine tour and sampling. The place is very quaint with lots of wood on the interior. The place is large and you would wander around for hours. We were in a hurry and unfortunately did... More

Black Rabbit Restaurant is located in the beautifully restored McMenamins Edgefield. The wood-trimmed dining room with beautiful murals is tastefully done. As with all McMenamins restauants, the craft beer is excellent. We stopped for lunch after leaving PDX and we were not disappointed. I really enjoyed the Pacific crab sandwich with bacon, avocado and arugula. The grilled cheese sandwich with... More
