The Black Rabbit is right in the middle McMenamins Edgefield location, a large area with concert facilities, a brewery, a hotel, a distillery, and much more. The grounds are lovely, and I recommend showing up early for your reservation to take a look around. The restaurant itself is also lovely. I had the green bean and truffle salad and the... More

Me and my girlfriend frequent the bar at this restaurant, the mixed drinks are made from fresh squeezed fruit. I can now no longer enjoy screwdrivers from other bars! The food is outstanding. We love the sea scallops, grean bean and mushroom salad, and the wild boar. Exploring the menu has been one pleasant surprise after another. It's a little... More

A fine dining venue with great service and food, the Black Rabbit at Edgefield will leave you wonderfully satisfied. I started with roasted beet salad made with preserved sweet onions, pea tendrils, gorgonzola, and drizzled vinaigrette. Then I thoroughly enjoyed a main course of wild boar, which was cold smoked and slow cooked served with sweet corn, fava beans, red... More

I've been to a lot of the McMenamins restaurants and bars over the years and the Black Rabbit at Edgefield has the best food, by a mile. The Black Rabbit Burger is only $13 and is simply awesome. One of the best burgers in the state, for sure. They have a great breakfast too! You get to walk down from... More

Edgefield excudes its own quirky magic at every corner, but the ambience can become lost when the summer hordes descend. We have had excellent experiences here by choosing to dine in the cozier bar section of the Black Rabbit restaurant, both summer and winter. During a two-night stay recently, we had the same excellent waiter for both evenings. The summer... More

Just came to eat here after visiting Multnomah Falls and very glad we did. Everything about the meal was great. We asked and were provided a menu which showed gluten free items and other dietary concerns a diner might have. I had the Tuna and it was prepared perfectly. Even though it was very busy another waiter helped check on... More

A unique location, with lots to see. The historic site has a distillery bath house, concert venue, hotel and probably a couple things we missed. Great food and service.

The wait was too long at the restaurant so we ate at the bar. We ordered the amazing sounding soup special, ginger carrot, and Kenny's grilled cheese sandwich. After a 20 minute wait, a waiter from the restaurant brought the food, announcing tomato soup. The bar waitress was there and was as shocked as we were. When we asked what... More

We've only tried breakfast at Black Rabbit because not only is the food a little "fancy" for us it's also very expensive. We splurge on breakfast though. Our last experience wasn't so great. Service was not good and they were out of a few things because they're bakery truck hadn't shown up. Also the food was a little off in... More
