Avoid this place unless you have all day to hang out. Had to get up and ask for service after waiting and watching employees go by for over 10 min. The food is just OK definitely not worth the exorbitant prices. Burger was under cooked and the fries were drowned in oil on the plate.

We needed to entertain some clients for my husbands work and they said they were wanting to eat seafood so we picked somewhere close. Their salads were cold and crisp which is a must in summer months. I tried a bite of the clam chowder and it was pretty darn good. The only thing that was annoying was not allowing... More

Absolutely one of the best burgers ever. Period. Great, great clam chowder. Disappointed in the deep fried prawns. They were a little overdone and not very many for the price. Fantastic french dip-one of the best ever. Great fries, and good portions. Anxious to try their fish 'n chips and their breakfasts.

For last night in Portland, we went to Shirley's Tippy Canoe and although we arrived before dinner menu, they let's us order dinner. Sea Chicken was excellent and Alan was a great waiter!

This doesn't look like much when you are driving by. It's bigger and better than it looks! Sitting on the Sandy River along the Historic Columbia River Highway it is worth a stop. The patio during nice days is great with stone tables. Polished granite! We have breakfast often here and I have to say that Shirley has the best... More

I see people mention the slow service and the fact this place is over priced, but the outdoor atmosphere and the good food is worth it. It's not fast food. Have a pint and enjoy your time here. The service for us was friendly and efficiant. I had the Reuben which was the best I have ever had. They put... More

We stopped at Shirley's Tippy Canoe to get directions around a rock slid so we could see all of Historic SR-30 Columbia River scenic highway. Shirley was so warm, generous & welcoming that we decided to stay for an early lunch. My wife & I elected to split a sloppy joe sandwich with fries. Well, you better be hungry, Shirley... More

We split the polish club and had a side salad and fries! So glad we split as the sandwich was HUGE - massive portions if turkey/ham/bacon and a polish sausage patty to further enhance the arteries ... Salad was fine, fries were hand cut. Really great lunch on their cool 'Flintstones' style rock tables

We went to Tippy Canoe on a Saturday around 5:00. We sat on the patio and they were not very busy. We ordered 2 drinks and one of their huge delicious nachos. 50 minutes later our nacho came. Yes, it was good, but it should not have taken 50 minutes for one item when they were not busy. The waitress... More
