Description: A pioneering spirit of craftsmanship paired with a deep-rooted connection to the region inspires Timberline's culinary program. Timberline is at the center of Oregon's bounty, surrounded by mountain streams and a plentiful ocean teeming with fish, rolling fields of fresh and organic produce and locally-raised livestock and poultry. All tended by producers with a common goal. Chef Jason Stoller Smith and Timberline's talented culinary brigade share this vision and invite you to "Taste Oregon" in the Cascade Dining Room.

I went with my wife and two friends for the buffet lunch in the cascades restaurant . I generally enjoyed my Buffett. I had salad with salmon followed by a beef stew and potatoes. My wife and friends were not so happy with the selection or the quality of the food so overall the experience was not up to the... More

After having scoped out the possibilities for a full meal the night before (we ended up at Ram’s Head) and eliminating this place as a dining option because of its prices, we returned here for the breakfast buffet. With all the cardio activity we had done and were planning to do it seemed like the right thing for us to... More

The best meal I ever had in a restaurant. The service was excellent. The wine selection was well thought out and complemented the menu. We were staying in the hotel so the a trip up to the lodge for just dinner in the winter can be a challenging but it can be done. Be sure to call for reservations. The... More

We had an “included entrée” in the Cascade Dining Room with our room rate. The night of Oct. 6 our choice was the Flat Iron Steak and the Pork Loin. My pork loin was a huge big piece UNCUT and my mistake I didn’t ask for it to be sliced. It was chewy and not tender. My husband’s Flat Iron... More

Often National Park lodge food is ho hum but not here. Everything was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh and artfully prepared. We enjoyed a dinner and a breakfast in the Cascade.

Expensive but the breakfast buffet is the best bargain. We didn't eat any other meals there. The service is good and it is the ambiance that excels.

Went here for the breakfast buffet, but was really disappointed. For starters, the buffet wasn't really a buffet. Yes, there was a small assortment of pastries, fruit, cereal, cheese and a waffle iron with batter, but all the hot foods had to be ordered. Everything was included in the cost, but obviously, your quantities were very limited in this approach.... More

Breakfast was just amazing -- from the buffet to ordering off the regular menu. Housemade breakfast breads a standout-- and the incredible Mt. Hood hot chocolate!
