Description: A pioneering spirit of craftsmanship paired with a deep-rooted connection...
A pioneering spirit of craftsmanship paired with a deep-rooted connection to the region inspires Timberline's culinary program. Timberline is at the center of Oregon's bounty, surrounded by mountain streams and a plentiful ocean teeming with fish, rolling fields of fresh and organic produce and locally-raised livestock and poultry. All tended by producers with a common goal. Chef Jason Stoller Smith and Timberline's talented culinary brigade share this vision and invite you to "Taste Oregon" in the Cascade Dining Room.

My husband and I had lunch in the sparkling dinning room, beside a window with a great view. The snow covered mountains and trees were a great treat for this Sourh Ga visitor! The food was delectable, and we enjoyed the warm homemade bread. The desserts were excellent along with hot coffee. I would highly recommend this dinning room as... More

We visited Timberline Lodge just for the day and decided to eat in the Cascade Dining Room because it was open and we were hungry. We really weren't expecting much, especially since there weren't many other options for food. Wow, were we wrong! It was fantastic! The buffet was about $20 per person which seemed a bit steep. But for... More

Top selection and quality of northwest cuisine in the most beautiful mountain loge setting. (We left a beautiful coat, which to our pleasure was located and returned within the week.)

I went with my wife and two friends for the buffet lunch in the cascades restaurant . I generally enjoyed my Buffett. I had salad with salmon followed by a beef stew and potatoes. My wife and friends were not so happy with the selection or the quality of the food so overall the experience was not up to the... More

After having scoped out the possibilities for a full meal the night before (we ended up at Ram’s Head) and eliminating this place as a dining option because of its prices, we returned here for the breakfast buffet. With all the cardio activity we had done and were planning to do it seemed like the right thing for us to... More

The best meal I ever had in a restaurant. The service was excellent. The wine selection was well thought out and complemented the menu. We were staying in the hotel so the a trip up to the lodge for just dinner in the winter can be a challenging but it can be done. Be sure to call for reservations. The... More

We had an “included entrée” in the Cascade Dining Room with our room rate. The night of Oct. 6 our choice was the Flat Iron Steak and the Pork Loin. My pork loin was a huge big piece UNCUT and my mistake I didn’t ask for it to be sliced. It was chewy and not tender. My husband’s Flat Iron... More
