We came here for an anniversary dinner. When I made the reservation I was asked if it was a special occasion. When we seated the server offered us a complimentary drink. We explained we don't drink. We had a nice dinner except for one thing. The salad was nice but the tomato was so diced, very small, we couldn't pick... More

Gustav's has many options to choose from and everything is very good. I can highly recommend any of their bratwursts or snitzels. They also have excellent fondue.

We have come here for years We love the lental soup, potato pancakes, spaetzle, and veal. Also the only place to get an Optimater this time of year.

While traditional German cuisine is fading in favor, Gustav's does an admiral job in keeping it alive. From their extensive menu we opted for sausage platters...select 2 or 3 from a list of 5...from traditional fresh bratwurst to wild boar with apricot and cranberry. Served up with warm potato salad, sauerkraut and red cabbage and, of course, some fine German... More

First, our server was good, friendly, and knowledgeable, yet overall service was poor. The kitchen may need reinforcements, as well as the bar. We ordered from a selection of real German beers, and given the choice between a half liter (@ 16 oz.) and a stein (larger mug), I ordered a stein. The server came back to tell me that... More

Tasty, rich, German food. Be ready to spend a bit of time if it is busy at all. The food is great. The staff is friendly. A fun place for a group to meet.

Wonderful first-time experience at Gustav's. Our server Anya was friendly and full of helpful suggestions for drinks and items the kids would like on the buffet. Great food - the champagne chicken, meatballs, and various salads were at the top of my list. Wide selection of desserts, which they kept refilling right up to the closure of the buffet line.... My two children and I loved this restaurant! Beautiful decor, friendly staff and most importantly, delicious food. We had the pretzel fondue - new to all of us. Very good - could have made a meal out of it. My lentil soup was outstanding, prompting me to buy some lentils, and replicate it at home. My daughter tried two sausages... More

My complaint is not about the restaurant, but about the food I ordered. This restaurant is a great one, but the fish & chips I had today were undoubtedly the worst I've ever had. For $14.25 I would expect better, but no. They were two small pieces, about 2" square, and 1/2" thick, and the Tartar sauce was bad, too.... More

2nd visit for me. I liked the buffalo sausage last time so I had the sausage dinner with kraut, cabbage and german potato salad. I stayed with the two types of buffalo sausage, preferring the jalapeno over the southwest, but I like spicy. Side mustard was good. I had Cabernet instead of the beer this time and liked it. Finished... More
