It may not look like much, but the burgers are excellent!

During a recent family gathering in the Portland area, there was going to be a time when my son, son-in-law and I would be on our own for lunch. Knowing what the boys like, my research turned up this well-regarded burger spot in the suburb of Tigard. We were not disappointed! It’s an... read more

The bacon cheeseburger is served open faced and the first thing I noticed was the double slices of cheese. It's also served naked so you have an excuse to hit the salad bar and dress it with fresh produce and poco de gallo. A little pricy but very good...

George's has some good burgers but they are a bit on the pricey side. There are many other fresh burger places that don't cost as much and are just as good (i.e. Boardwalk, Dickie Jo's, 5 Guys). They do have a condiment bar that you can choose and put on your own toppings such as ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, onions,... More

It was an ok burger, not bad, not great. They do cook then fresh. My daughter who did not want a burger ordered one after tasting one, so that is a good sign. We would eat here again if brought by someone else, but probably wouldn't choose it.

George's is the place for a fresh juicy burger without all the grease. You can definitely taste the difference from frozen or fast food joints. Everything is made to order, and the veggie toppings bar is always fresh. The fries and onion rings are really good, and the light golden color tells you the cooking oil is kept fresh too.... More

PROS: ---Fresh, well seasoned beef cooked just right ---Fresh soft bun ---Good sized burger ---A 'bar' where you can dress the burger yourself with lots of pickle options, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and several different sauces, including a couple homemade ones that were excellent (the cajun fry sauce rocks); the bar is keep very very cold (not sure how they do... I hit this place for lunch because I had been meaning to try it for years, and since I was in the area, that's exactly what we did. I ordered the Big George with a fried egg and onion rings, while my wife had the Big George with fries. Now, the Big George is a 1/3 pound patty (nothing really... More

I don't agree with the other reviewers. The food was good, but the burgers certainly weren't giant -- although the prices were. With fries and drinks for two, even with a discount coupon, we spent way too much money for the food we got. I could do better at Carl's Jr and have change left over.

Fresh ingredients, clean, bright and cheery people and decor. Best feature is the "bar" where you dress your freshly made burger as you wish. The tiny parking lot is a tight squeeze, and requires a quick turn off Hwy 99. Easier to park nearby if it is full.

The burgers and fries here are good and better then anything you can get from any fastfood place. They are a little more then the typical fastfood place but you pay for what you get. I would recomend this place for someone looking for a good quick burger.
