Interesting place

It's really busy so it's hard to hear. I think it's a "go to" place. The food is ok and overpriced for what it is. It's a neat place but I would rather go somewhere else.

The place was packed as it was Father's Day. Met with my husbands work colleagues , as we were staying just over the road at the Double Tree Inn. Great selection of beers and wines etc , but service was slow and the food was poor. Huge portions, but quality wasn't good. I had the Kung po chicken , which... More

While visiting family in the Portland Oregon area, we ate dinner at the Thirsty Lion Gastro Pub in Tigard. Thirsty Lion is an upscale pub & grill. And it was hoppin' busy. Most in our party ordered burgers (which were in the $12 range), one ordered pizza and I ordered fish and chips. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, although... More

Had dinner at Thirsty Lion while staying in Portland for CBC in April. They had an excellent selection of both "Craft" and mainstream American Lagers on tap or bottle. Food was good (not outstanding), beer was cold (but served at proper temp for various styles) and service was efficient if not the friendliest I have experienced. In their defense, it... More

Really good food, cute girls that are always gracious (servers), fair prices, timely served, eclectic selection of food and drinks, clean facility. My only complaint would be the noise level is too high for polite conversation and it's always busy (which is a testament to their quality) so it can be hard to get a table if you don't make... The rating would be higher if we just evaluating the food. The noise level was close to unbearable as none of us had mastered the art of lip-reading, The service was good, but way too often sporadic and disjointed which may have been due to the fact the place was packed.

Several weeks ago I joined a colleague here for a lunch meeting. Although I have enjoyed their fish and chips before, I wanted to try the French dip sandwich. Because I had previously found the dipping sauce on this sandwich too overpowering, I asked if the chef could tone it down so it was not so salty and overpowering. What... More

My husband and my son took the "girls" out to lunch for Mother's Day. The Italian Beef Stew was delicious. It was a special soup for that day. We had a BBQ chicken pizza that was so good. And my son had the fish tacos. There were 3 tacos on the plate and he could of had more. It was... More

This is one of my most favorite restaurants! Pub chips, fish tacos, spicy Mac and cheese, scotch eggs, geez, it's all great! Go hungry, try everything, you won't be disappointed!
