Best we have found in The Dalles

We have travelled through The Dalles many times and have only found fast food places to eat. We started stopping in Hood River as The Dalles did not have the quality of restaurants we were looking for. Windseekers is definitely what we were looking for. While looking for a restaurant close to a... read more

Unfortunately this used to be a good restaurant with a great view of the river but it has now been closed.

Terrible service. Place is officially closed. Probably due to the level of service. Absolutely a beautiful location would be nice if somebody could put something together there.

Clam chowder great but cold [must have been sitting out] Salmon dry and fishy . got rice asked for potatos, rice was nasty. Razor clams weak on flavor. Service very good and friendly. Decor bland , view great. Overall food was over priced and not very busy for a friday night.

I have been going fishing on the Deschutes River near The Dalles once or twice a year for over 20 years. I usually stay overnight in The Dalles the night before fishing. I have tried most or all of the so-called "best" restaurants. However, for the last couple of years I just keep going back to Windseeker. Why? Because it's... More

We only went here because of Restaurant Impossible and immediately found that they had screwed up the decor by taking down the artwork. It is so boring looking inside and has dusty light fixtures. We really should have just left after seeing that but we didn't. Both mine and my husband's meals were crying for some sort of seasoning. No... More

We were heading home to Portland from Utah and stopped for lunch. The view was phenominal, the service was outstanding, and the food was perfectly cooked and reasonably priced. Debbie the manager was our server. She was fast, very friendly, very knowledgeable about the food, location and the restaurant and very helpful. I highly recommend stopping by it's a pleasent... Great food, service relaxing and an amazing view we will definitely be back. We were a little late for lunch but still were surprised to see so few people.

I had heard that changes were made over the last year and they were correct. At the advice of an excellent waitress, Nora, I had the New York steak and baked potatoe. Comes with a cheddar biscuit and house salad. I took the waitress advise on the house "Ranch Dressing" and it was awesome. The whole meal was a pleasure... More

We were looking up restaurants in the dalles and stumbled across this wonderful place. The food was excellent. I had a steak with the blue cheese shrimp sauce and my boyfriend had the fish and chips! They were amazing. Ask for Amy to be your server she is sweetheart and deserves a raise!!
