Charmed my socks off

I just completed a review of the nearby Celilo Inn, which is much nicer inside than it appears from the road. The Hiway House is the same -- looks a bit like a scary roadside tavern from outside, but walk through the door, and it's like entering the living/dining area of a good friend's house. Very... read more

The motel we were staying recommended this place. It is supposed to be steak and seafood. You do get a salad entrée and ice cream. The ice cream was the best part. I would give the food a c - and service a c.

We read reviews before going and thought we were going to have a good, if not special, meal. I have to say that our experience was nothing like what we had been led to believe. The service was fine but the food was simply horrible, close to the worst I have ever had. We ordered baked halibut and a Caesar... More

Loved the sexy lit red booth that my husband and I were escorted to on a quiet Thursday night. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of this seemingly family run place with excellent wines, delicious food and sweet waitstaff. We had the salmon and the halibut, bisque and salad, baked potatoes (yay!) warm fluffy bread and much yumminess for dessert.

Restaurant looks a little scary on the outside but inside it's cozy with wing chairs for seating. Service was a little slow but it was a Friday night. Salmon was caught that day, my husbands prime rib was rare just the way he likes it. Bread was homemade and they gave you ice cream for dessert which was a nice... More

Great food! Reasonable prices. I plan to return soon with my wife. Seafood bisque was amazing. Fresh food, exquisitely prepared.

We had driven past this restaurant and remarked that it didn't look like a winner. We were so wrong. It is locally owned and operated Bread, desserts and other dishes are family recipes. The dining room is nicely decorated and very welcoming. We each had a different fish dish and were each really pleased. The bread was definitely home made.... More

Got there quite late and the hostess/waitress was extreamly friendly and efficient. The food was excellent but quite spendy.

We like to find "off the beaten path" places when traveling and experience something new. This was just plain excellent! Service, atmosphere, food - we were quite thrilled with the whole experience. Large menu to choose from, too.

I would definitely eat here if you are going to be in the area for a couple of nights. The portions were huge and the price point very fair. They have an option where you can plus size (extra salad or soup and an extra baked potato) entrees for around 6 7 bucks and then split an entree. This is... More
