I'm a local, and even though there is no excuses for snappy responses in the food business... I will tell you that Orisya, the owner is a kind woman who works extremely hard, working day and night 363 days out of the year. Her story is one of trial, but she tells me every time I come in how thankful... More

I was in town, just check out the Fall Street Fair, and wanted a quick bite. Well, I was first encountered by a rather snappy stern lady, ( I assume to perhaps been the proprietor ) she quickly took my order, and payment w/o any eye contact or pleasantness. Then I was told to go to the dinning room, and... More

The sourdough bread was very tender. The sandwich we had was large enough to split. It was very tasty with plenty of meat. A good buy for a quick sandwich. Kind of dark inside, but plenty of outdoor seating. Pleasant staff. A bit crowded by the front door where you place your order.

It's amazing that we went to the same place as many of the other reviewers. Perhaps they don't get out to eat very much. Yes its true that a lot of meat was on the sandwich but the meat was disgusting. It was the type of tasteless junk that one gets out of those pre-packaged Oscar Meyer type packages in... More

As a stranger to this cute cafe, Can't remember being so warmly greeted by an owner. We were offered a tasting of each of three soups to make our decision; we both had the meatballs/veggie, and found it hardy and full of meatballs. R sandwiches were ingredient-packed and yummy. No room for ice cream, but they had plenty of choices... More

We were lured in by the promise of homemade soup and sandwiches. This was not a good choice for us. The atmosphere was a step up from a cafeteria type setting and while I sampled all three soup options and chose the split pea, most of it was uneaten by me. My sandwich was only so so. Go somewhere else....

Super friendly foreign lady serving up yummy ice cream. Salad and food options looked good but we stuck with sugar!

It is fortunate that Ali's is a half block south of the highway, as otherwise it would be too crowded. Alisa, with her golden braids, is the image of her native Ukraine, greeting the guests warmly, to put it mildly. A variety of excellent soups are served in sizes big, bigger, and huge. The sandwiches are appropriately sized to the... More

Ali's is a sweet little eatery just off the main street run by Oryisa, a Russian lady. You will know her by her long yellow pigtails and friendly manner. Oryisa makes virtually all her food. Sandwiches are great. Usually two or more home made soups daily. It also has a variety of ice cream flavors available. Outdoor seating available in... More

My mom and I have a girls weekend once a year in Sisters and this time we stopped by Ali's for some soup and sandwiches. The girl working the restaurant was very sweet and helpful. Our food was incredible and the owner was so funny and charming. This will definitely become a tradition on our getaways.
