Just popped In

I read other reviews and decided I wanted to live on the edge and see if the owner was as mean as some reviewers were saying. My husband and I had already eaten but wanted to pick up a small treat for our waiting dog. We explained this to the owner. and asked for a hotdog. She smiled and said... read more

We needed somewhere quick to stop for lunch on our way into Sisters. We stumbled upon Ali's in a shopping center and are so glad we did. We ordered the turkey panini and a grilled cheese for our 2 year old. The ladies working there were so sweet and personable. They gave us advice on a park nearby for our... More

The woman who owns this shop tries to be super friendly, but on the two times we've stopped here, she came across as being quite insincere - kind of creepy actually. And the ice cream seems to be a little stale..... I'd have to be desperate for ice cream to go here, and I can't say anything about the food... More

We went to Ali's for ice cream, and decided to have lunch as well. The food was quick and tasty, and the service was friendly and prompt. As it was mid-afternoon on a mid-week day in January, the restaurant was not busy. We would go back!

I'm a local, and even though there is no excuses for snappy responses in the food business... I will tell you that Orisya, the owner is a kind woman who works extremely hard, working day and night 363 days out of the year. Her story is one of trial, but she tells me every time I come in how thankful... More

I was in town, just check out the Fall Street Fair, and wanted a quick bite. Well, I was first encountered by a rather snappy stern lady, ( I assume to perhaps been the proprietor ) she quickly took my order, and payment w/o any eye contact or pleasantness. Then I was told to go to the dinning room, and... More

The sourdough bread was very tender. The sandwich we had was large enough to split. It was very tasty with plenty of meat. A good buy for a quick sandwich. Kind of dark inside, but plenty of outdoor seating. Pleasant staff. A bit crowded by the front door where you place your order.

It's amazing that we went to the same place as many of the other reviewers. Perhaps they don't get out to eat very much. Yes its true that a lot of meat was on the sandwich but the meat was disgusting. It was the type of tasteless junk that one gets out of those pre-packaged Oscar Meyer type packages in... More

As a stranger to this cute cafe, Can't remember being so warmly greeted by an owner. We were offered a tasting of each of three soups to make our decision; we both had the meatballs/veggie, and found it hardy and full of meatballs. R sandwiches were ingredient-packed and yummy. No room for ice cream, but they had plenty of choices... More

We were lured in by the promise of homemade soup and sandwiches. This was not a good choice for us. The atmosphere was a step up from a cafeteria type setting and while I sampled all three soup options and chose the split pea, most of it was uneaten by me. My sandwich was only so so. Go somewhere else....
