Had a large group so did make a reservation. The service was excellent. I had a bacon and bleu omelet (chopped bacon and bleu cheese) with country potatoes and toast. Delicious. Coffee was also good.

The restaurant is only open for dinner one night a month on the first Friday of each month. We had a fantastic dinner. We had the Halibut Cheeks in a cream sauce with corn and new potatoes and the Butternut Squash Gnocchi. Everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. We each had a different soup with dinner and both were excellent.... More

We often split a plate so we eat more sensibly, especially when we travel. We ordered a sandwich to split (which came w/ a side) plus an extra side (bowl of soup). We received a glass of water when we arrived and it was never refilled. When our bill came it had a charge of $4 for splitting. The waitress... More

The reviews looked good, but when we finally found the place it was more of a backery/coffee shop than a breakfast place. Menu was overpriced and almost nowhere to sit. Dissapointed!

Fresh ingredients, warm and friendly service, and best of all they worked very hard with gracious attitudes to meet my specific lifestyle/dietary needs ("Paleo", which means no grains, corn, soy, sugar) In a town where burgers and fries are the norm, it was very refreshing to feel so at home with the menu, which includes (but is not limited to)... This gathering spot really is a cut above most places of its type. I ordered soup and a sandwich, and both were outstanding. In fact, I have to put the soup (a chilled green curry corn chowder) in my top ten. Ever. The sandwich was served on a well-made, fresh croissant, and the roasted turkey was not deli meat, but... We enjoyed a terrific breakfast before continuing our roadtrip. A number of people in Silverton had recommended this place for breakfast or lunch. I had the Breakfast Hash which was sweet potatoes, spinach, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese with a light dressing and served with toast. I really enjoyed it. My husband commented that his breakfast sandwich was flavourful, inventive and... More

The wife and I brought the mother-in-law here for an early Mother's Day brunch on Saturday May 10, 2014. I had the steak hash which was really tasty with well cooked potatoes and veggies plus a lot of thinly sliced steak strips. The wife had the garden hash with the gluten free toast...also very tasty. The mother-in-law had the breakfast... More

Healthy food is served but not always to my liking. Nothing wrong with the food, just not my taste. Service is average. Prices are average. Does offer a small, cozy atmosphere and good place to meet friends for conversation.

I love the Gathering Spot because it has a varied menu according to the season. The ingredients are fresh and local. Breakfasts are out of the ordinary and very delicious. The bakery has wonderful items to eat there or take home.
